    pain in crotch!

    Hi everyone...

Just wondering if anyone has any serious pain down below? I feel like I have been kicked in the crouch and am finding it increasingly difficult to walk! Rolling over in bed is a nightmare, I'm hoping its going to ease up abit!

Does anyone else have this? Is it just my ligaments stretching? Would it be cause this is my third?

    Thanks

    Hi Leeloo,

I haven't experienced that type of pain, but just wanted to say it may be an idea to call your hospital or OB, given you are finding it hard to walk, better to be cautious than not. All the very best.

I see my OB on Wednesday... it doesn't feel like anything is wrong, just more of a ligment or bone pain!

Yes, I know the feeling. It is particularly bad when I have been sitting for a while and I get up! Mention it to your ob but I am sure it is fairly common!

Do you mean crotch hon? I had that too everything loosens up, and the crotch feeling intensified I remember as bub engaged. As the others have said, it's worth mentioning, in case your care provider has some ideas to strengthen things (pelvic floor exercises won't hurt!), or you might want some extra support.

DD had her hand in my crouch for weeks and weeks (even through birth, but I really don't remember when it started!) and sometimes felt like a hand would all of a sudden appear! It was painful and uncomfortable and she was also laying on a nerve in my leg so when she'd stretch I'd almost fall over as it was as though my leg couldn't work!

I hope bub moves into a better possy for you really soon! Sometimes pushing in defferent areas makes bubby cranky and will get them moving out of where they are, definately worth a try!

When bub's a teenager you'll be able to say "You always were a pain in the crotch!" Sorry, bad joke but had to be said!

i had really bad pain in my left hip crotch and my back begun to hurt.
after 3 days of not being able to walk and it brought tears to my ears to roll over in bed sit down stand up and basiczlly just move, i went to the gp he gave me referal to physio. turned out my pelvis was out of alignment and my left leg was considerably longer then my right, this was from a combination of things like the position of the baby and how my DS laboured, im currently 32 weeks preg and still having physio.

i wear a support band and brought a TENS machine also doing deep abdomianl exercises suited to pregnancy.

i think its definately worth a look. i could have done permanent damage had i left it.

    sorry this so long

It could be Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction, which google it and see if the symptons fit.

My sister had it during her last pregnancy and described it the same way as you, there is not much they can do to get rid of it because it is your hormones relaxing the ligaments that hold the pelvic joints.

Ask about it at your next appt, they can offer you physio exercises to do to strengthen the muscles, a belt to wear and hyrdrotherapy to help relieve the pain.

If can get worse with each pregnancy which is why the strengthing exercises are so important.

wow im glad i found this post. I have had the same thing including two occasions where as I rolled over at night I heard a HUGE cracking sounds which freaked me out big time - i saw my GP about it and he explained it was the bones clicking over the ligaments ... i see my ob on tuesday so might mention this to him as well ... i cant remember this happening with DD though -

hope you get some relief and your OB can help leeloo

I've been having that the last few nights, though only when I roll over at night time (is OK when walking and sitting). It just feels like the pelvic bone has alot of pressure on it or similar...

Happymummu - I have also been having the crackling for a while now when I roll too...good to know what it is. Wasn't anywhere near bad enough to go to the doc about it.

I am glad I found this thread too...

I am 32 weeks and I have been having this pain for almost a month on and off...Babies head is down and I thought it was all just the pressure of the head. I found it a nightmare to walk or move in bed...only recently has it stopped but babies head is still down

    Hi there!!

Well I saw my Osteo and my pelvis was slightly twisted which was causing the pain, but also it is to do with the ligments underneath separating slightly!! A good exercise he gave me to do which will strengthen and stop the separation is to lie on your back with knees bent, then fold 2 pillows in half and put them both between your legs.... Then squeeze then together for 5 to 10 seconds... Repeat a couple of times!! If it hurts, stop and just try to do as many and for as long as you can manage!! I do them every night and they have really helped me!!

Hope everyone is well besides!! :-)

Yay! Thankgod I have found this thread too! I've have been in agony, can't walk without walking severly weird, my pubic bone feels like it's been kicked like it's badly bruised, I can't stand on one leg to put my undies or pants on! Rolling over in bed, getting up out of bed to go to the toilet is almost tear evoking! And stupid me has been going for 1.5 hour long walks! No wonder I can't move! I am definetly mentioning this to my Ob tomorrow!
