    Meat/fruit recipes please

I've had some success (hurray!) with giving DD apricot chicken. I don't usually do meat and fruit combined recipes but if she's going to eat them, I'm all for it.

So now I need new ideas - any meats or fruits, though probably stew/casserole type meals are more likely to be eaten. Anything I can combine with rice/couscous/pasta etc.

If anyone can help, I'd be very appreciative.

I dont have any recipes for them...but you could do mango chicken, I have a nice one for citrus chicken somewhere (might be a bit too strong for her though...), plum pork. Would she eat something like sweet and sour pork with carrot, zucchini, pineapple mixed in? Or my mum has a really nice recipe for sweet and sour steak, was my fav when I was a kid!
What about devilled sausages (sausages & green apple)?

Mango chicken... appples in curry with banana rice, sweet & sour fish... I have a recipe that has prunes in it but it is very strong on flavours so I don't think your DD would like it (DS2 turns his nose up at it and he eats everything)

pineapple curry is good too also in muffins or cakes but i love pineapple with fried onions

any sweet curry is great for kids as there is no heat

My BIL adds pineapple to his lasagne and says it is amazing! Not quite my cup of tea, but it may be an option for your DD Also, I have blogged a South African mild fruity curried-mince recipe that you may want to try. You can check it out on my blog. Good luck with the meat and fruit strategy

Thanks guys, that gives me somewhere to start.

I tried a pork and apple stew (with heaps of other veg hidden in) tonight and she was happy to eat that too, so I can't wait to try some of your ideas as well!

    Cheers!

Oh I remembered something my DH loves. He likes pineapple in potato bakes... perhaps you could try that too?

I love cooking lamb with prunes. I put a butterfly leg of lamb in a big baking dish, chuck in a few smashed cloves of garlic, a few sprigs of rosemary, a whole heap of prunes, salt, pepper and then about a cup (or two) of red wine. You could replace the red wine with stock or just water if you want. Then cook for about an hour or so. Yummo!

That sounds right up our alley - well, for DH and me anyway! I'm going to pass that one on to the chef for sure...
