Drink water- apparently it is true!

One glass of water shuts down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University study..

Lack of water is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.

A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or

Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.

Are you drinking the amount of water you should every day?

Thanks for the reminder I should be drinking more...

I have found that drinking more this pregnancy has helped reduce the swelling I suffered from last time, flushing out my system more

It's my #1 diet tip too. If you HAVE to drink 2L water every day - you will definitely feel fuller and won't eat as much!

Have a big glass of water before each meal and you won't overeat. Note to self: must start doing this again!

Nope, I know I don't drink as much as I should..sometimes i just forget iykwim because I'm so busy all day with DD I can tell though when I haven't had enough during the day as I wake more frequently overnight to have a drink, or wake up really thirsty in the morning.

I've heard too, that if you feel hungry (or think you feel hungry) to have a glass of water and wait for a little bit to see if you are still hungry after that. Sometimes feeling hungry can actually be mistaken for thirst. I don't know how true that is though

I try to drink 350ml every hour at work. On the weekends I try to carry around a 1.5l bottle, except for today when it was alcohol in the sun and I think I'm paying for it now, am onto my second 1.5l bottle and I'm still feeling dehydrated.

My housemate used to catch me wandering about the kitchen and say 'Have a glass of water first!!' So I would, and I'd be reaaaally annoyed because I really wanted something yummy to nibble, but I wouldn't be hungry anymore - annoying!

Those are really interesting facts Lilima! Where did you read them?

Which reminds me to drink more, i LOVE water but when I'm at work I dont drink as much as I should. Being in air conditioning I tend not to feel as thirsty as what I normally would if i was outside on a hot day, in saying that, to keep your skin hydrated in the air con you should drink just as much water as you should if/when u are outside in the heat ...

    Thanks for the reminder!!
