Thank you for adding me to the list Mo. We're having a princess theme mainly because they're the only invitations incould find that I liked and they had matching party hats etc. How bout you?
Can you edit us into the list please Mo? Alexandra Sophia born 6th April.
Wow, I can't believe that 1st b'day's are only days away for some of us. We aren't having a big party as we don't have much family or any little friends to invite here. Will just be me, DP, my mum, dad, sister, BIL and brother. No theme in particular apart from "pink", pink foofa cake, pink everything else that mum had left over from my baby shower more than 12 months ago, lol. I got Alexandra's party dress out yesterday and was showing it to her and she got so excited and was giggling at it - was really funny
We are having a butterfly girly theme, It wont be very big either maybe 30 people.
We order a number 1 birthday cake & will have butterfly chocolates & biscuits and a BBQ for lunch.
I got Kodi's dressed handmade by one of the Belly girls & it's so pretty. It's a size 0 but it's swims on her cause she is little. So i'll have to use some ribbon to tie around her waist i think.
We ended up buying K a silver bracelet with a little blue love heart with her name & date of birth engraved on it, plus blue love heart earrings(she has her ears pierced)
It's was hard trying to find something that only Kodi could have & not share with Maddi.
Hello everyone! Thanks for putting us on the list Mo
So, Imogen's little friend party is TOMORROW!! Today is very busy getting everything organised, cooked and cleaned. We are having a bright animal sort of jungle-y theme - ladybug plates, green napkins and orange cups. It is a very casual sort of get together but still very exciting! I cannot wait to put her party dress on her tomorrow, it is very impractical for a crawler but so adorable! We are also having a small bbq in a weeks time for family who are in the state which should be nice, a lot of them haven't seen Immi for months and she has really grown up.
It is really cool hearing about all the other party plans! They sound really good so you will all have to report back on how the day/s go. I cannot believe our tiny bubbas are almost one, it is exactly a week for us and I just can't imagine that this time last year I was PREGNANT, crazy! It feels like it has gone so fast but also is so hard to imagine her not being around...
Still no walking here, she is very efficient at getting around our place using furniture and walls so not sure she will ever see the need to walk out in the open hehe We are getting some pretty good sleep, an 8hr stretch most nights which is AMAZING for us! This means only one and the occasional two night feeds for my big girl but still a million and one during the day haha.
Imogen is still quite little, she was 8.4kg last week but looks healthy and I guess somebody has to be on the other end of the scale. She eats well; three meals + snacks + heaps of breastfeeds but I think she got her Dad's metabolism who eats and eats and eats but is still a rake!
Jess, Immi & Kodi are about the same size. Nice to know K isn't the only lightweight in here
Kodi still likes to crawl everywhere as well.
Off to the Dr's tomorrow to Kodi re weighed, she was 8.33kg but at last weeks weigh she was 8.1kg but now she is better i'm sure her weight will be up.
Have a look at our ticker!!!!
Our baby is one, i cant believe it
This time last year i was being induced
We are having a butterfly party next Saturday in the park, waiting for her aunty and uncle to get back from thailand.
Just a quiet day today with Dinner at her nannas house tonight, also my partners birthday, better not forget about him
Ella was into ripping the paper off this morning, so cute and we had pink pikelets for breakfast
Better get moving for the day while the princess is sleeping and get some jobs done
Oh i made a number one cake for today, was so hard im no cook so have decided to get a friend to make her butterfly cake for her party. I dont think mine would have looked like a butterfly!!!!
Well done on making a cake. I was thinking of just doing a plain banana cake for Alexandra's actual b'day and then the other cake for her party. I spoke to the lady in our bakery and if I feel lazy I can get her to make the cake and i just have to decorate it. She can even make the icing for me if i'm super lazy!
Hope Immy has an awesome party today Jess! It's a shame that we're not still in Brisbane, I think that it would be interesting to catch up with all the bubs now that they're all alot more mobile and interactive instead of them just laying on the floor looking at each other.
Love the present that you got for Kodi Mo. Jewellery would've been on my list too, but we already have a gold bracelet from my mum and dad when Alexandra was born and diamond earrings from DPs parents. I'm not sure when she'll get to wear the earrings though because we haven't got her ears pierced and I was thinking that we'd wait a few years until she could ask to have it done herself. Plus I would be scared that she'd lose them!
We are both sick with a cold atm. It's the first time Alexandra has been sick and she's very clingy and not eating much. Hopefully we are both feeling better soon
Our party today was so fantastic, I really adore the Mum's I have met along the way and it was so nice to have them over. We had these cool swirly pink roof hangers that had a big one on the bottom which looked great. I made cupcakes and spelt out HAPPY BIRTHDAY IMOGEN on them in m&m's so pretty simple but looked decent enough haha. Was a fun but exhausting morning! She was allowed one of her birthday gifts (still 6 days to the official birthday) which was a wooden oven with little wooden pots and cuttlery. Oh, and wooden food too All the bubs seemed to enjoy it.
Oh Happy Birthday Ella and Dad!!!! KB - well done for making the cake. I have been practicing lately for bday as a bit rusty.
I remember last years posts at this time so well. I too cant believe how fast time has gone and that this time last year I was still a 'lady in waiting' - remember the whinging!
T is 1 year next Tuesday and I am taking TIL from work, invited just GPs and bros and me and DH of course. Making a Pink coconut cake with Butterfly decs. I have a long standing butterfly fettish (years) so going with that.
Mum tried to get an Upsy Daisy doll but only available from UK so not for this Bday - Iggle Piggle instead. We have the musical things I prev mentioned.
Mo - the jewellery sounds lovely! What a good idea. And I love the party theme of course!!
JF - sounds like your party went well. I am too lazy to do a kids party this year. Probably next year. Too busy with work unfortunately. Well done with the longer night sleeps
FF - T and DH are sick too! Poor sickies. Hope your lot are better soon.
