    Hi Everyone

good to see some action in here!!

Rach & Kass hope your bubba's start getting interested in food again soon! Leila eats very well but recently we got to the stage where I think she was getting bored with what I was giving her so I had a look around BB and found some great recipes and ideas so have started introducing new things and she seems very happy.

Question re food - those who are giving 3 meals of solids a day - how many breast/bottle feeds do you give? We were doing 5 breastfeeds but lately we are struggling and often the 4th & 5th feeds (particularly the 5th) is really just a comfort feed - I feed her to sleep. She used to 'feed to sleep' now she really just 'hops on the boob to sleep!' she's usually so exhausted that she's asleep within 2 minutes of attaching. She sleeps through and wakes up happy (not screaming like she's starving) and is putting on weight so I guess it doesnt matter. I'm just confused. I have a friend that kind of sets her clock and every 6 weeks or so drops a milk feed (more solids). I haven't really done this but now find Leila is just feeding less anyway. I notice it especially as I express when I'm at work and lately I'm struggling to get as much as I used to. Anyway, just curious as to what everyone else is doing and roughly how many milk feeds a day your little ones are having.

Well finally girls I have my gorgeous, happy little girl back!! 4 top teeth in a matter of weeks and now she is happy again. She is just soooo adorable! She talks/sings constantly, says 'dada' climbs on everything and gets into all sorts of mischeif!! It is so nice to have her back, poor little thing had such a tough time with her teeth. I have my fingers crossed that we get a little break now before the next lot of teeth come through!

Rach that's so funny about the difference in weight between Ethan & Evangeline!! Leila is about 8kg now so she's not particularly big either.

Just a note girls... DH, Leila & I are doing the city2surf fun run this year (14kms!) and trying to raise money for down syndrome as I have a nephew with down syndrome. I don't expect any of you to sponsor us but if you feel that way inclined there are details of how to donate on our FB page. If I don't have you on FB look me up! Fiona Waters (John Waters - we share FB!)

Hope everyone is having a good week.

    Fi x

I'm still at my wits end here.
Tonight, tomorrow night and Sunday night I have to work and I have had little to no bloody sleep here. Tooth number 3 is on it's way through and we've had no sleep because he's up every two hours, so just as we're going to sleep, he's waking up again. He doesn't wanna sleep during the day so I can get any sleep for work and I'm also feeling like a failure because he's 7 and a half months old and not even crawling yet

DH and I had D+M last night which made me think that it's time that I cut my ties from places like this and just stick to FB and such, but I dunno if I can do it.
Sorry, just needed to vent somewhere

Rach - awesome news about Luke sleeping through! You must feel like a brand new woman. Leila has finally started sleeping through again too. She still wakes up crying maybe 3 times a night but will resettle herself so I don't have to go in to her. Decent sleep makes life a hell of a lot easier!!

LJ it is so hard when they are not sleeping well. Teething is rough on everybody too! You are not a failure!!! I know it must be so hard when others (me for one) talk about their babies crawling etc but this is in no way a reflection of anybody's parenting ability! I have no idea why Leila is crawling early, I was pretty slow to develop as a baby so she doesn't get it from me! I know what I say probably wont make you feel any better but it may interest you to know that when I took Leila to the physio recently and she crawled around and pulled herself up etc the physio just looked at me in amazement. She said there is a bell curve of normal development and that Leila was so far advanced with her movements that she was off the bell curve. Me saying this has NOTHING to do with Leila or other babies that are crawling early. What I'm trying to say is that at 7 months most babies are not crawling and this is completely normal. I wish there were something I could say to make you feel better hun, I really do. I know you're feeling really down and its hard to see you feeling this way. Before you cut ties from BB just remember how much support you can get from this place! Everybody is here to help each other, offer advice, reassure us that everything will be ok etc. I'm sorry that you feel like you are not getting this but honestly, we are all here for each other. I hope you get some sleep and start to feel better soon

grrrrrrrrrr Luke does not want to sleep during the days 40min is all and thats it for the day grrrrrrrrrr..........

LJ I didn't read properly before was feeding Luke, do you get weekly updates about bubs milestones my latest said

    Crawling

He's off! Crawling is the one physical skill that can wildly vary in attainment - and some babies never crawl, preferring instead to go directly from sitting to walking. It's also normal for some babies to crawl as late as 12 months, although most start somewhere between seven and ten months.

To crawl in the classic hands and knees fashion, your baby has to first be able to sit well on his own and have good co-ordination, muscle strength and control. You may find that he rocks back and forth on all-fours for a week or two before he starts to get going - this action allows him to learn to co-ordinate his limbs and to work out how to get his body to go forwards rather than backwards (some babies crawl backwards for a short while too).
jack was 10 1/2 mths before he crawled properly I am just amazed how far ahead Luke is he is certainly not normal...normal is above just starting to think about crawling etc

a quick ??? has anyone turned their carseats round yet, I know the longer they stay RF the safer etc, but Luke is over the weight limits for our seats and Jase wants to turn him
