    Ladies

It is now when we all need to gather around Michelle and help her in any way we can as she prepares to birth George. She is doing it tough ATM (check the previous thread) so this is the time as the very special bunch that we are that we need to step it up a gear and go into uber awesome support team mode.

Michelle: I'll check in on you at each feed tonight. My phone is on 24/7 and is beside my bed so no matter what, even if you just want some distraction during the night please give me a bell.

    Hi Ladies,
Michelle I hope things have calmed down for you.

My doctor did call me back after he talked to the MFM doctor at the office (which took a while). I guess the nuchal fold should not measure over 5mm and bub's was almost 7mm. There was also some fluid build up in both kidneys. Both could be nothing or they could be something. The doctor said that with my blood work he doesn't feel the need to do any invasive testing. I will have everything remeasured in 4 weeks and will go from there. It sounds like it is most likely nothing, I can't help but worry. The good news is that bub is kicking and a great size.

Michelle, I hope the fact that you haven't answered your phone means you're resting. As I said, you will be in my thoughts, and I have lit a candle for you and George. Hang in there. You are a superstar at this, I know you will be this time too

Spring, your words in the OP made me cry. Perfect hun, absolutely perfect.

Laney, I'm sorry you have this worry, especially when things were looking so great. I'm glad your Dr doesn't feel there's a need to begin invasive testing. Take heart in this, and keep thinking of all those great movements your bubba is doing Here for you

    Jayne, where are you lovely?

    Freya, are you okay?

Lee, are you feeling less hit-by-a-truck-like? LOL at eating all those WW biccies, I used to do that haha! Sometimes you've just gotta splurge

Bun, thanks . I hope you can pop in lots while your DH is away. Mine doesn't really have to travel for work, but he does often work long hours, and sometimes 7 days a week. It can be very lonely, and my online friends keep me sane when it's tough . Wow, that festival sounds amazing!!!!

Willow and Bek, I'm missing you guys It feels weird without you.

Man oh man, I can't believe what a little superstar my baby has been today. Just the last couple of days he seems to moving out of that haphazard newborn stage, and into something of a routine. I'm aware it could all come tumbling down any moment, but I'm certainly enjoying it while it lasts!!! DS1 never really was this settled. It's amazing what a bit of knowledge and experience can do, eh? If DS2 was our first baby, he'd no doubt be suffering alot more, and we'd be plundering along thinking that it was all totally normal, without any idea of food intolerance/reflux and the like. Poor DS he really was our experimental baby. I just can't believe how different things are now we're getting on top of them (I hope!).

Michelle, I am about to head to bed to sleep in a drug-induced haze. My thoughts are with you.

Bad day for the arthritis here. Cold weather doesn't normally make me hurt, but we've had a couple of days of bitter cold where I've struggled to keep warm and the pains in my legs are horrendous. Hoping he panadeine forte will kick in soon so I can get some sleep - the boys have already gone long ago.

Laney, I hope you can focus on the positives and not stress too much between now and the next scan.

huh just realised Michelle might not have wanted me to share...............I figured everyone would have gotten sms's. Or maybe she sent it to me because she knows I would be up half the night anyway and wanted me to share..............either way send lots of love and prayers to her and George. Hopefully when I kick this cold I can go visit and give her hugs from everyone in person.

Congratulations, Michelle. I hope all is well. I will definitely keep my sick little boy away from the hospital as I very much do not want to spread his germs to those now caring for newborns. I remember nights in special care all too well and how horrible it is to be separated from your child at this time.

Welcome earth side, George. Be strong for mummy and get yourself out of NICU and into her arms where you belong as soon as possible.
