The Joys of the Things They Say

DD1 is talking LOTS and i am finding it quiet amusing watching what and how she says things.

At the moment her fave words would probably be STOP, STUCK, HAPPY and meowing like a cat.

DD1 gave DD2 her CPK baby the other day then realised it was hers and she wanted it back so she ran over and yelled ZARA STOP STOP STOP and grabbed it and ran off again

DD1 was helping feed DD2, she went to hand her a piece of crumpet and i said no Zara doesn't eat that she turned around and tried again with a grin and said "ZARA, HAPPY TOAST"

So what does your little one say whether it be appropriate, inappropriate, funny or just so cute?

My DD gives toys/food to the dogs and then say 'ta' to them expecting them to say it to her.

love the Happy Toast....we need some of that around here in the mornings lol.

My DS is more the silent assassin, but DD had a few crackers.

She could say Lemon and Linda, but every day we ate Munch

She loved to look at cats but called them ****y Cats....very embarrassing in public....

As was her word for helmet - homo. We were in Target one day and there was a lady dressing a manequin. He had a skateboard and helmet as accessories and in her loudest voice says "Look mum he's got a homo!!". ...the lady nearly fell of her stool....

LOL kim, I think that must be a common mispronunciation, my nephew said the exact same thing!

Jacobs thing at the moment is squealing, that real high pitched, break your eardrums type....whenever he sees an animal of any type, and that animal is also always referrred to as "kittteeeeeee".
at the pet food isle in the supermarket J will start squealing then pointing and exclaiming, "kittteeeeeee, kitttteeeeee, kitttteeeeee...." non stop!!

LOL, kids say the darndest things!!

My DD was in with me the other day while I tried on some materninty pants, they came nowhere near to fitting me and she said to me 'Mummy, they too small, you really really too fat for those pants'. Thanks Lil, way to make mummy feel good! Now over a week later, most days she will ask me if I'm still really fat!
A few nights ago she was asleep and DH went in to check ont hem before we went to bed and she said 'I want to go to the Dora shop Da'. LOL, as if she knew DH was there!!
She's said sooo many other funny things....

DS has started to say some funny things too but they aren't coming to mind right now!

My son (who is 2.5) has come up with a few doozies lately that have had me nearly peeing my pants. He's the king of inapproprioate

To the horrified cashier at Walmart "mommy has a baby in her tummy and it's going to come out of her Hoo Hoo soon and drink milk from her boobies"

To me while naked in his wading pool "look mommy look, my penis went Huuuuuuge"

To me the day after a day at the beach "mommy I really liked the girls at the beach with the big boobies" (already? seriously?)

To me after daddy tried to teach him the difference between Plato and PlayDough "mommy Play dough is a toy and Plato was a velociraptor"

While sitting on the potty (he usually wants me to stick around and chat) "mommy I really love you but I need some privacies please"

To someone who wanted to hug him when he wasn't in the mood "no thank you I'm allergic to hugs"

I don't know where he gets this stuff LOL

I was in the toilet the other morning, and DH was getting ready to leave for work, so DD says to DS 'Come on DS, Mummy is having a baby' . this came from the Dora dvd she has been watching lately.. Can just imagine, she is going to say it somewhere and people will assume we are, which we aren't at this stage..

I tell DD I love her so much, so the other night after saying good night and I love you, she turns around 'you love me soooo much'

And now she is saying 'c ya, I am going to the airport. And the shops to buy DS formula.'

i love now that DD1 has figured out POO's and she comes to DD2 when i change her nappy and says Zara Poo's Stink so we are teaching her that the dog poo's are YUCKY... so our dog jack thinks it was a great idea to go right infront of her... Ava yells "MUM, MUM, JACK YUCKY POOS"

DP was on the toilet yesterday she walks in and yells MUM, DADDY POOS STINK

DS has renamed our dogs- we have one called Karma- and while he can say car- he cant say Karma so she is Marma.. then our other dog Zane is either Yaney or Shaney since DS started to say his own name.

He loves telling them to "shudddup" when they bark or to "stoppit" when they lick themselves on the couch" or to go "outside now" (all said VERY authoritively!!!) I have absolutely no idea where he learns these phrases!!!!!

He also has this thing where he says a big O-KAY!!!!!! When its time to do something- like everytime its time to get out of the car and when its time to get dressed etc! Very cute!!

Oh and since he learnt his name- now if he spills something or knocks something over he comes out with a big "oohhh Shhhaannneee" and shakes his head!!!

At the moment, DD requests everything be "just 10 more seconds, K?".... she has NO concept of time!

Last night she was melting down and I told her it was time for bed since she was obviously tired... the reply?

    "I'm NOT tired Mamma! I'm NOT! .....
Mamma... can you help me with my PJ's? I'm tired." put her into bed and she was asleep before I even left the room!

DD comes out with some funny stuff
every time we visit my folks, their dogs bark (and yelp and whine til she goes to say hello!) - dad is usually asleep so mum is always telling them to shut up - now we walk in the door and e scowls at them and says shut UP!, gets out of my arms, goes to say hello, then says shut up again and walks away!
this morning, DH was sneezing, and she pops her head around the corner and says blessyou blessyou daddy
her cousin's name is Rachael - we were playing with her one day and saying AHH CHOOOOO everytime she sneezed. when we tried to get her to say Rachael, it came out with the same rahhhhhhhchel sound!
her fave at the moment is who's dat, what's dat, who's dat, what's dat? constantly!

I was at the supermarket with DD and she had one of the little kiddy trolleys, she was having a whale of a time picking out things to 'buy'. I realised we needed to go as we were supposed to be visiting some friends, so I picked her up to take her out of the shop (she was in the middle of deliberating over whether to choose Dora or Toy Story yogurts) and she shouted out "HELP!!!" Just as if someone was kidnapping her!
I didn't even know she knew the word, let alone how to use it! I got some funny looks but it was such a classic I burst out laughing and people realised I wasn't really abducting her.

The latest thing DD has started saying which drives me nuts is "I don't want to" in a screachy voice. It's worse than hearing her say "No"

But as far as other things go she's always amazing us with what she comes out with. She always says thank you when we give her something or when we give her a kiss. In the car this morning she kept saying "stop mummy" when the traffic lights were red and then when I started moving the car again she would say "three, two, one go go go"
