    Reductil

Have done a search for Reductil, but didnt come up with anything, so, is has anyone done/is using it?

Have researched it for the past few days, and today, went to the dr to get a script for it. My BMI is 31.5, weight was 99.8 (which was nicer then my scales )

So, I start tomorrow. Have read all the info possible, lots of good/bad and indifference testimonials. Am feeling a little nervous, but, am hopeful that it helps me somewhat.

I know that its not going to make me loose the weight on its own, however, am hopeful that it helps me stick to a calorie controlled meal plan, and i will get some quick results to keep me motivated to push on, and then, maintain the goal weight.

My goal is to get within a healthy BMI range, which means loosing about 25kilos..

Anyway, any feedback would be nice..

I was on it for a little while, but I have a history of depression, and it messed with my head. A friend of mine has been on it for about a year now, I don't think thats recommended, but she's lost something like 30kgs. I think its great IF you know where to draw the line - for me, I was happy to be losing weight no matter what my mental state was, but DH wasn't happy with it. Since coming off, I realise how bad a place I was in, and weight loss isn't worth your life yknow? My friend's attitude scares me, this time last year she would've been ecstatic to have lost what she has, but now that she's 'there', she's still taking it because she's still not happy. She's a good weight for her height, but she's not happy in herself.

I know, really bad review It's a great tool if you keeep an eye on yourself, and make sure you stop when you need to

Hi I had a positive experience and lost all the weight I wanted 30 odd kg over about 6 months. I put it back on over time - I guess it is like anything else you have to watch what you eat when you come off them. Also, I found the 10mg worked better than the 15mg - the 15mg I had trouble sleeping :-) not sure which dose you were perscribed. Good luck - I have just got back on the weight loss band wagon with weight watchers lol

Over the last 10 years I have tried many different weight loss pills. From Fat Blaster to reductil to duromine. All of them caused me to lose weight to some degree but stack it back on plus more afterwards. Reductil I found was the biggest waste of moeny as it wasnt cheap and didnt really seem to work for me. Just made me eat more once I stopped taking it.

What did work for me (and you can check out my blog in my signature below) was going to WW. I learnt how to eat for life. I learnt how I didnt need to 'diet' and that life happens so to be succsessful I had to not elliminate any food from my diet (not even maccas LOL) and learn to control the amount I ate. I also learnt how to exercise so that I could eat more food. LOL! And i love exercise now and have made so mnay changes to my lifestyle that have allowed me to lose weight. I still have another 9kg to go but have come a long way.

    Good luck with it all.

My H (I'm not saying DH right now, he's in the bad books) had them, but stopped using them cause they were too expensive. No idea on how they were for him though
