chiropractor - help or make things worse?

im really nervous bellah is 2 and has her first appt this afternoon, apparently her back and neck are out causing headaches which maybe why shes been headbutting and hitting herself. Im just scared i know a lot of people say chiropractors just make things worse so whating some advice

I took DS1 to the chiropractor for the first time when he was 2.5years, and there was a massive, and almost immediate, change to his behaviour for the better. He was non verbal and had no eye contact when I took him, within a week he was attempting simple sentences and within 2 months he was talking in sentences and gave strangers eye contact without worry.

I now take all my kids to the chiro monthly just for a check up, and will make an emergency appointment if they have a bad fall or illness as they always help to make them better.

There's a speacial gun a good chiro would use my god it works! Im not all for them, I purfer massage BUT mine helped me and Lucy. I can give you some numbers etc for ones in Ballarat if you like?

The chiro will teell you all that. He'll prob send you off with a heap of pamflets and info

she should keep moving after her adjustment, so take her for a walk or a run round the garden, maybe play catch with a ball just to keep her moving. Then for the rest of the day try to avoid letting her slouch, so sitting on a dining chair doing art at the table would be better than sitting on the couch watching telly. But don't panic if she wants to slouch as long as she gets a bit of a walk immediately following the appointment she will be fine. Just don't put her from the appointment straight into the car for a long ride home unless there is no way to avoid it.

I call it the clicky gun hehe. I get DD adjusted already, really helped with her colic! ATM she is once a week but will drop down to once a month next week =)

oohhh its a half hour drive home, might have to go around to MIL's after its just around the corner.
i'll do my best to keep her walking, sitting straight etc indoor activities are probably better today its pouring down rain, traveller i never realised you are in Geelong! I moved out of Highton 12 months ago! Small world!

I take DD to an Osteopath for her headaches, it's worked brilliantly.

I had my DD seen on Friday and there has been huge improvement. She was fussy feeding on my left breast & would scream when I'd lay her on her back to sleep but happy on side or belly. It's all fixed now

so heres an update from today:

We went through her medical history, symptoms, behaviour etc and the chiro had a little feel (hes been lloyds since the same age) and said he doesnt want to treat her, her neck and back are too bad for even him to deal with hes referred us to people who deal with kids a place called kirokids because her hip dysplacia was kind of ignored by doctors and passed from one dr to the other when she was a baby it never got properly seen to which has resulted in her tail bone being twisted causing her neck and back to be out of place too. He said its going to be a very long, hard, painful, expensive road but it needs seeing to now or it will cause many more problems.
My poor baby must be in so much pain
