He doesn't do that but used to shake his head side to side like he was possessed. Lol
Hopefully she will grow out of it, maybe she's teething, that could be why she does it when eating
dd is 18 months old and i have been noticing in the last weeks that she does this really weird thing where she will shake/shiver her head (kinda like when a toddler tries to do a poo, when they are pushing and they sort of grit their teeth and their head or body sort of vibrates?/shakes ifykwim) i saw her do it today when we were out during dinnertime and each time before she puts the pasta in her mouth she would do it, and then she would do it a couple of times and stop. Is it normal or it it something new that she thinks is fun and interesting to do?

Yeah P does it when she is teething and/or doesn't like the texture of her food
Yeah, sound normal to me. My DD does this kind of shudder thing that sounds similar, and also pulls weird faces, rolls her eyes or does big, exaggerated blinks, does weird crouching walking or funny little trots and skips as she runs... I think it's all just body experimentation and enjoying increasing awareness and control of movement and sensory experience. Gosh they're funny!!
oh thank god! i was getting a bit scared!!
My toddler does this when she's getting upset or frustrated about something.
Mine does this when strange people look at her, or just to be silly. We call it "fake scared".
rofl yes! Usually now accompanied by the thrusting forward of the bottom jaw and baring of the lower teeth in order to appear scary of make me laugh![]()
