Opinions and advice please!! (Alan I need you!!!)

hello everyone. Can I get your advice/opinions please? I've been getting pains for a couple of weeks now, really random but the last day or two they're more regular- once an hour or so. They're in my back, start in the lower back, pulsating nd radiate up my back into my neck. VERY painful. Pulses for a while , feels like spasms, and then goes away. Usually happens while I'm having BH

A friend said it sounded like scatic pain but everything I've read says sciatic pain radiates down not up. From what I've read it sounds a bit like back labour, and the midwives today said they thought bub was a bit posterior. (was in hospital last night for monitoring due to lack of fetal movement yesterday) Anyone have any ideas?

The midwives did say that there were a lot of BH showing up on the CTG and the pain was probably related to bub being pushed don a bit during them. ( I was so freaked out but everything happening- bubs HR dropped and scared us death!- thatI didn't really ask them to elaborate.) Just starting to wonder now if I need to start doing more to possibly turn baby?

Maybe the baby is pressing against your back and hitting a nerve which is what the pain could be

My DD was born in the posterior position and it is very painful and a lot of hard work so working on getting the baby to turn is a good idea.

It's probably what the midwives said, I guess. Not sciatica anyway.
Even if your baby is posterior now, it doesn't mean it will stay that way - they do often turn themselves around. Are you familiar with teh spinning babies website? It has lots of info and advice on trying to get baby to move.
You're getting very close to B-day aren't you!?
