    Bodytrim anyone?

has anyone done Bodytrim? i keep seeing ads for it, and went onto the website, but i still don't understand quite what it's all about

so, if anyone has done it..
what is the process? does it just tell you what to eat - or is there meds involved?
    did it work?
    was it sustainable?

    Hi Renee,

I haven't done it personally, but a gf of mine did it. She had the last 5 kg to loose of 'baby belly' but couldn't shift it, so tried Body Trim. There are no meds - it is all food eating & they tell you what to eat. She did the original program & I am certain the first three days are protein ONLY. Then you go on a weight loss plan then maintenance once you have reached goal. She lost the 5 kgs after her second pg & her last pg & has kept it off.

DH just got it. It's $160 for a book which explains everything you should do, recipes and dvds. As the PP said, the first three days are protein - no fruit or veg at all either. We expected it to be something different. Whether or not it works, I don't know for DH because he's not a reader to begin with.

I've been wondering about this too. The claims are pretty sensational - losing 5kg in the first week!

I don't think it would be ok to do when breast feeding though (which i currently am).

Would be good to hear a bit more about it.

Big W has it for sale off the shelf, I saw it at QV yesterday.

I don't really know what it's about. I'd thought it was along the lines of cohens or sureslim but doesn't sound like it to me.

I've been thinking of trying this too. I did hear it wasn't any tablets or shakes or anything, so I thought I'd have a look on ebay for it. not sure how strict with myself I can be though, especially if I have to cook myself something different to everyone else. ITMS.

    Bodytrim

I saw this on tv this morning and went to the website but can't find any information without signing up. I'm not signing up because they'll send me a whole heap of spam

Has anyone here tried it? Can you tell me about the program, what you eat, how much it costs etc? Is it a monthly fee?

There you go. Although, this thread doesn't really give much more info about it. No-one really seems to know what's involved except the first 3 days are protein only. The rest is a mystery!

Go to Big W and check out the book. DH bought it direct from bodytrim and what they send you is exactly the same as the Big W pack. It's expensive and DH has never used it, opened the book on the first day and that's it. Oh and he gets text messages occasionally to motivate him. So the best advice I can give is to go and have a look at it and see if it's something you can follow, without doing as DH did and fork out the big bucks for something he didn't use and then didn't bloody return.

Can you tell it's a sore point here

My aunt, uncle and BIL have all lost loads of weight using Body Trim. Yes you can lose 5kgs in the first week but a majority of that is retained fluid - which is explained to you in the dvd.

I actually purchased it after having DD2 and had big plans to start using it and then found myself pregnant with DD3. I am planning to start it after DD3 has weaned. I have done Cohens before and lots loads of weight doing that and Body Trim is a kinder version of Cohens. The best thing about it is you eat food - real food!

    Ok heres how it works.

You're alowed 100grams of protein only for meals and 50grams of protein for snacks. You eat once every 1 to 3 hours as needed. You should never feel hungry.

So you have a protein only breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. You are only alowed protein for the very first phase (totaling 3 days) no carbs nothing...

Then you go into weight loss mode.

You keep the concept of eating small meals, protein servings. You only add one slice of bread per day (must be wholemeal/grain) for breakfast only. At lunch and (I think) dinner you are alowed to add salad and veggies to your meal. Salad is unlimited. Some veggies are only alowed once every 3 days (eg carott!) you get a free day for every 6 days of the program you complete, then go onto a protein only day the day after. The day after your protein only day you go back to the 6 day program!

You continue eating like this until your happy with your weight.

    Then you move onto maintenance.

You get two options. Hunter or gatherer Which gives you am extra free day. Or carb lovers. Which gives you an extra serve of carbs each day!

    Hope this info helps!

Hmmm, sounds too much like Atkins to me. Too much protein and not enough carbs isn't good for you in the long term.

Might just stick to my healthy balanced diet

Mummasue- my doctor actually recommended it to me.

It's basically all about portion control. And balancing a healthy lifestyle. Body trim isn't a diet as such, it's a way of life.

And you can eat carbs on it. I have multigrain toast for breakfast every day apart from one day a week which I detox

I have lost 1.4 kilos in 6 days! And it's showing!! (and I'm on clomid and have af-so I'm currently bloated from that, but it doesn't look bloated at all!!! Iykwim!)
