Take her to the doc hon.... dont stress yourself but just take her.
DD started crying about an hour a go whilst playing and pointing to her neck/throat area and saying ow, its now become apparent that she cant turn her head towards the side that she was saying was sore, like when you wake with a stiff neck, how worried should i be??
Take her to the doc hon.... dont stress yourself but just take her.

I would be very worried..
Could be mumps, but I would get it checked.
She could've strained a muscle, but it's not worth the worry or the wait - take her straight in, I hope it's something small.
Does her neck feel tight? Maybe she pulled a muscle?
Best go to a doc just to be on the safe side xxxx
I'd get it checked out too, but it sounds like a pulled muscle. DD2 pulled one in her neck at about 18 month old.
Hope thats all it is![]()
Hope she's ok now... sometimes when my kids get swollen glands at the back of their neck they react like that.
Apparantly I used to get a stiff neck all the time with tonsilitis as a child - I think because the glands in the neck swell up so much....but like others said, get it checked for peace of mind.
She could have swollen glands - I would take her and get her looked at. I hope she is ok![]()
That was how my tonsilitis often started as a little one...... hope all is okay and keep us posted![]()
Hey Olive
Sometimes kids can get torticollis, which can take a few days to go away. Wonder if that's what it might be. I'd take her along to the docs and she might need some anti inflam's..
Hope she gets better very soon xx
Yeah that ^^
I suffered acute torticollis about 6-7 times when I was a kid. It was agony.
I hope she is okay xxx
oh hun, I hope she is okayget her checked jic. When DD1 had viral meningitis she didn't have a sore neck at all...
thanks lovlies (and mick via FB) i took her, finally got seen to in the corridor as we were leaving due to the wait..think its either glands (hers a generally large) or strained muscle
this happened to my DS2 on new years eve, the next day one of his glands just under his ear was up the size of a golf ball. In the end he was on antibiotics and it took 2 weeks to improve. Just was a virus that decided to settle in the gland.
Hope she feels better soon
