Whenever I have times like that I sneak into DS's room when he's asleep and watch him sleep for a bit. It makes me feel like I can face the next day, and that no matter what, it will get better.
I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed lately too.
DS has only just finally gone to sleep... Its midnight
I could lay here for hours (& I often do) & he still won't sleep
Hope it all settles down & you sort out your routine soon hun x
oh hun hugs , have a cry, a big one, release the hormones your body is telling you it needs to. It will make you feel so much better. Try to find some sneaky you time tomorrow. Deep breaths, tomorrow is a new day.
Big hugs LS! I'm feeling like I'll be in the same boat shortly. My DD's sleep has never been great but she was actually sleeping all night recently, now she is waking up several times a night...I guess she is getting anxious about the new baby but it's pushing my buttons already. At 4am im wide awake and it's hard to be nice!!
If I remember correctly you are on your own a fair bit too? Does your DH work away? That makes it so hard as well. GBH
GBHs! I know the feeling...and it's not nice!
But I too sometimes sneak in to DDs room and watch her sleep...brings me some peace, and a refreshed feeling of "i CAN do this!!".
Hope you feel better soon!
it's a tough gig starting out again with a newborn. i'm with arcadia...take the path of least resistance. feed in bed if you have to, pop on a DVD for DD...be gentle on yourself ok?
oh and my fav mantra...this too shall pass this too shall pass lol (and it totally does ).
