Sucks Ginger!! You guys have had a bad run this year so far
Cass, I think Melbourne might be colder so far this winter - we haven't even had a frost yet. You did remind me of our first house we bought in Southland, it had an outside toilet. It only takes a couple of winter midnight pee's to train yourself not to need to go!
Thankfully a hose poked down the toilet fixed the problem - wasn't keen on doing the outside run at 2am.
Hey I bet the mods fight over who reads this thread, it's gotta be more entertaining than some LOL.
Anyway, if gas planets are good enough for the astronomical community, then gas babies are good enough for us!
Arte, I'm devastated that the bucket trick didn't work! Glad you got it sorted out though.
Ginger, sometimes a well-timed round of dinner works wonders to fix everything. Sometimes I cheat and give Miss E a pre-dinner dinner for that reason.
MP - how is the new job going, m'dear? All that it was cracked up to be or ever BETTER?!!
I read the other thread this morning, can't remember a thing from it though. I won't complain about tiredness though since I took DD1 out to see Wicked! last night (a surprise early birthday present). We slummed it up in the z-grade seats but it was FANTASTIC!
we are hanging out for cars2 the movie to come out around here LOL
hey did i tell you all about the last time my dad took L to the movies to see Tangled- dad was lining up to get the tickets and L yelled out at him across a whole bunch of people "grandpa, can you get me some c0ckporn?' luckily grandpa understood him and got him a bucket of popcorn.
Lmao G at the popcorn. L used to leave h out of choc and tantrum in the shops yelling I want some c*ck, so embarrassing. How does L go at the movies? We are waiting for cars 2 also but my L hasn't been to the movies yet.
G That's hilarious. Hey I saw some excellent Cars lego/duplo at BigW earlier this week - it looked like they just got it in, might be worth checking it out.
Oz, E isn't a fabulous movie go-er, but maybe thats because most of the ones she goes tend to be of interest for school aged groups. I remember takign DD1 to see Thomas and the magic railroad when she was 2 and a half, and she was transfixed. E on the other hand spends the whole time wiggling around, getting on and off people's laps, complaining she is tired/hungry, and eventually (cos we get sick of it) we let her run up and down the stairs like a lunatic child. LOL My neice can't sit still int he movies either and she's 8.
I can't sit still in movies either lol. L went and watched a mini version of wizard of oz and sat thru it all so fingers crossed the big screen and popcorn has him transfixed. I meant to say I'm totally jealous of you going to wicked.
my L luuuurrrvvvesss the flicks. she doesnt really care what she watches although she did think tangled was a bit scary. we are hoping to get to winnie the pooh.
G: omg that would of been hilarious! especially for all the other adults overhearing it lol.
MD: ooohh i am jealous! i would ogf loved to have seen that show. i just loved the book.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Is it a long one there?
W is really really looking forward to Cars 2. He has watched the first one a bazillion times. For the Cars fans - have you seen Mater's Tall Tales? It is about a dozen little 3 minute stories that Mater tells. It is quite amusing.
Ginger, LOL at the c0ckporn! Forgot to say from the last thread that must be super frustrating with all the blockage/missing/destroyed stuff at your place.
Just a whinge - every time W is told something that isn't what he wants to hear he cries/bellows and it is driving me mental! Surely he is too old to be crying when he is told no or to do something he doesn't want to do?
LOL Arte, no he isn't too old to do that when told no. The girls still do it at times too if they are in that sort of mood.
Such a tiring weekend here. DH had his knee surgery on Friday and we didn't get home till 11pm. It went well, but he still walks like an old man LOL. Apparently his knees feel fine, but his left calf muscle is really giving him curry. He has a massive bruise on the back of it so whatever they did to his knee during the op really gave his calf a caning. And then it was an early start yesterday for football and we didn't get home from that till 5.30 and I was knackered. So I have had a very lazy day here today and only done the absolute bare minimum.
Arte, no he's not too old, or if he is then E is too old too. She has this really piercing cry/bellow that she does when she's displeased, it is very very loud and just that frequency that goes all the way through to my brainstem. Ugh. I tell her I can't hear her unless she's talking to me in a calm voice, but i think DD and possibly others (DH? FDC lady?) might react sometimes when she winds up which doesn't help.
Trill, your poor DH, sound very ouchy. Glad you got to have a lazy day, sounds just like what you needed.
Isadora, I wanted to see Hop...I woulda sat still LOL. Will have to see it on DVD instead. Cars is a bit 'meh' in this household.
Speaking of movies I have been totally paranoid about popcorn choking, don't remember giving it to DD1 until she was 4 or 5 or something, but realise this is probably an overreaction. Do all the other kidliwinks have popcorn, nuts, raw carrot yet or has anyone held off?
