When should i start to worry?

Ok this may seem a bit silly but DS fell over (again) and he managed to catch his forehead on the rounded edge of the coffee table. The egg that's come up is kinda huge, he seems fine and has forgotten about it but is there a size when I should worry? Is there anything I can do to treat it? I know your not meant to put ice on it anymore. Suggestions?

Any throwing up is an instant sign you need to go to ed.

Awww, sorry to hear your little guy has a big eggie on his head! I'm pretty sure it will go down in size fairly soon. Someone once told me it's better for the bumps to be out than in, ie you'd be worried if after a pretty decent hit on the head there was no lump at all....If he seems OK then I'm sure all is fine.

Poor thing, head injuries are scary. Nurse on call have always told me to look for indentation and as much as it hurts them a bit to have a feel around and if it gives way to take them in to ED. I think the better out than in is true. I have seen a shocking egg on a kid at MG - it seriously looked horrifically scary and turned out to be nothing but just a bump.
