How often do you weigh in?

I was just telling a friend, my IL's weigh in every day, sometimes multiple times, and then they panic about it I know you're not supposed too, I've tried telling them, but they don't listen.

Now that I'm on a health bumkick, I've gotta keep track of my weight. I'm thinking either weekly or fortnightly, same time of day. What do all you health nuts do? What's the best time difference to get the most realistic weigh in?

    I.M.O......
    There's no best time.
Just do it at the same time on the same scales.
    Once a week is plenty.

And maybe consider updating your ticker every now and then (that is a reminder to myself, not you).

First thing in the morning after you've been to the loo and before you've gotten dressed and had anything to eat is the best time. 1lt of water weighs 1kg, so if you weigh at the end of the day you could be adding extra kg's simply because you might have drank several litres of water through the day, plus all the food you've eaten. I only weigh once a month because my cycles affect my weight hugely because of fluid retention, so I have to make sure that it's just after I have my bleed that I weigh.

I am doing Weight watchers (have now lost 11kgs!) and I weigh in every Tuesday night. But at home I maybe do it every second day just to see if the number is going downwards!

I weigh whenever I jump on the wii fit, it's the only decent set of scales I have in the house. Otherwise official weigh in is every Tuesday night.

Yep, that's what I do too. Get up, pee, turn on the shower, weigh while waiting for water to heat up. But I do my "official" weigh-in Mondays after the pee and everything else is just motivation.

I do it after my gym workout, but that is because the scales are accurate and I am there at the same time, same day each week. So I can compare on the same scales, Sam time a week apart.

I pretty much weigh myself everyday and have done for over 3 years. I stopped for about 6 months last year but now am back to weighing myself.

I know that my weight will fluctuate during the week and so I only make note of my weight on Friday mornings.

I try to keep it to once a week, but usually fail abismally (sp?!) and do it every 2 (ish) days. I have been losing weight really slowly lately which is why I try not to weigh in too often because I get disheartened, rather than motivated by any gains!

Have been once or twice a week since doing the 1MKC. Planning on going to every second day, but only recording the Monday morning weigh in as the official one.

Finding at the moment I need to see how different days go, so I can work out what could be my problem food or if I am pushing the boundaries a bit much.
