Forum Name: State: Baby's DOB: Gender of Baby: Boy / Girl Baby Name(s): Baby's Website: Health Concerns: Notes:
Hello girls!! I'm off to bed, but I just thought I'd do the second post
It stopped raining here this arvo, and then did another amazing downpour which unfortunately got onto our veranda and soaked all my washing again that I hung up there to dry!! yuck... I know the rains good for us, but I'm ready for it to stop now
We have had a house full of Gastro this week (yuck!) with me getting it on Sunday, DP on Tuesday, and Aidyn on Wednesday. So that is why I have been offline quite a bit. Aidyn went through nearly all of his winter clothes, and sheets too... and it has been a royal PITA trying to get everything to dry!
Apart from that, I am trying to organise myself to get into Uni part-time next year to do Nursing. I am so excited - I always wanted to be a nurse since I was a little girl, LOL. But theres quite a few things I have do to help my application... I just hope I do well on them!
Anyway, application dont have to be in until September, but I am getting started now, cause otherwise I would never get it all organised!
Ok, am going to bed now, will read up on last months thread tomorrow and do some personals... Night night!
MY ENGLISH: naaaaaaaaa my english is bad. For me it's more simple to write that to understand your post. I'm sorry, because so I don't answer to you. But the time will help me! And my english will be better!
I don't use an on-line translator, but for some words I see the dictionary!
HUSBAND: My husband is in France also today. He will come back only on 5th July. Now it's 1 p.m, but I dont' sleep. Without him I don't sleep, because I'm very afraid.
ITALY: you are welcome to Italy! Yes, it's a very beautiful cauntry, I'm happy to live here!
NIGHT: Serena have 1 or two waking up for night! Now they are for the teeth. She has only 12 teeth. I want to sleep!!!
MATERNITY'S LAW: what's your law for the mathers?
MMR is a vaccino?
I hope you are very well!
Sorry if I don't answer to you, I don't understand, but I will learn soon, I hope!!!
ELy we are happy to have you here & you are doing really well for your English, I can barely put together a sentance in Italian at the moment LOL
In Australia we don't have many laws for mothers, we have some some government assistence with money but it usually doesn't even amount to the food bills. We will not get paid from work except 4-6 weeks for good companies, others will give you leave without pay, but you have to go back to work within a year. I would not have gotten any $$ from work at all, and would have had to go back to work full time to keep my position, so I quit & started again one day a week.
MMR is a vaccination. Usually given at 12 months.
Ambah I hope you are all better today!! Nursing sounds great! I was toying the idea when I got PG to do midwifery but decided to stick with animals after being in the labour ward LOL!
Good luck Ambah with the nursing course, I think it's wonderful for you to follow your dream, and getting organised is the best idea cos with Aidyn you are busy. Hopefully you are all over the gastro now and feeling better!
Christy- now you really shouldn't complain about the rain, we really need it everywhere, but esp in the catchment areas, we have been on water restrictions forever it seems, not that I mind, cos it is good that people be careful about water, but it also means the water level is low.
The storms on the Sunshine coast in Qld were terrible though, those poor people, hope their insurance looks after them.
Ely- I think you do great to write in English cos I could never reply in italian. From my work as a public school teacher, I am entitled to 12 weeks paid maternity leave, but as I also have a permanent teaching position I can take up to 7 years leave without pay. After the 7 years I can return to my teaching position, or I can take 1 or 2 more years leave without pay. So in my profession it's not too bad, if you have the permanent position. If you are a contract teacher you only get your 12 weeks and then if your contract runs out you don't have a job anymore.
Between having no husband at home and Serena waking sounds like you are gettig no sleep, hope that gets better soon or you will be feeling like a zombie.
nyway I have to do some groceries today sometime cos we have no toilet paper or food or fruit and vege, so I am thinking of waiting till Arron gets home and going all by myself.
Have a good day everyone, I can't believ it's July already.
I know I know (hangs head in shame) I usually love overcast days & rain, they are much loved...but not right now 8-[ Thank goodness our dams are filling up! But sad for those families who have lost so much & the young couple that are missing from flood waters, thats scary.
Matilda is at day care and once again I haven't done anything I meant to do, and its an hour until I pick her up #-o so better get off BB & back to work! LOL
It is nice and quiet here today Kimberley is at day-care and i don't have to watch Monsters Inc. YAY
Kimberley will not stop watching that film i have tried to put The Wiggles on but she asks me to put the other one back on and will not stop tapping me until i do.
She is talking so much now and understands a lot more as well. Picks words up very quickly. Yesterday and this morning in the car i could not shut her up.
God damn it is cold today. Just rained too and I have clothes on the line #-o
Christy I know how you feel about not getting anything done. I was all set to scrub the kitchen while on the phone to centrelink expecting to be on hold for ages and well I was on and off the phone within 5 mins LOL. Maybe I should try that trick next time I have to go and ring them. Which probably wont be for another year now hahaha.
Ely - You are doing really well with your English
Ambah - Glad to hear everyone is on the mend there, and I am wishing you all the best for placement into Uni !!!
Michelle - I totally agree with you about where has the year gone. I hate July 1st cause then I think OMG it is only 6mths till 2006 !! Which is when Kam will start Full Time Kindy
Alot of mums/dads had an introduction course to pre-entry kindy today (we were at playgroup) and I couldn't help but think OMG that will be Me & Andrew in 12wks, at least I can just throw Lachlan into the girls at playgroup that day, so we can concentrate on Kam
Anyway have just turned the heater on so you know it is cold when I put the heater on LOL. Now it is time to boil the kettle
I'm with you with the cold Kathryn although I did turn my heater off for awhile, cos I felt bad that it was hot enough for the kids to walk around in t shirts and I had it on all nightLOL.
I am very sad too cos Jemma will be 3 in February and I have a feeling that means she can go to 3yold kinder and I don't want her to. I guess I don't have to send her, we'll see!
Anyway kids are starving Arron is bringing pizza and he still isn't here, also Jemma is so tired all she is doing is crying, I am sort of sick of listening to her. Wish it was bedtime!
Oh must have been the day for that Michelle. Lachlan was crying for ages as well. Finally got tea cooked and as soon as he ate I put him to bed @ 6.30pm and he fell straight to sleep.
He had a bright red cheek, so it could be another tooth on the move. Will soon find out I guess.
Well Katryn it is after 7.30pm and Arron still hasn't arrived with the pizza so the kids are in full starvation mode. jemma just ate the last apple which impressed Josh no end! So then not only was she sooking but so was he. If I had 3 tins of spaghetti I'd just give them that, but there's only 2 so we can't do that! I better go and ring him and see how far away he is before the kids strangle me LOL
I hope as I type this you are all sitting down enjoying Pizza !!! Lachlan gets ropeable as well if his tea is not at his high chair at 5pm. It is amazing how they know isn't it lol.
Start with the not so good news Asha fell over last night and hit her chin on her Leap Frog learning table. She put her tooth right through her lip there was blood everywhere I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital for a while but we managed to get the bleeding to stop but it took her about 20 minutes to calm down enough for me to get a good look at it. She was fine today and had no problems eating or drinking and there is no bruise only the tiniest little cut just under her bottom lip. Now to get the blood out of my white t-shirt!!!!
Good news ... Asha took 5 steps today!!!! YAY for my baby girl. She took one step and then stopped to get her balance and then once she had her balance she took another 4 little tiny fairy steps!!!! Then launched herself at my lap. I was so excited that I started clapping and cheering for her and she started to clap to. The other good news today is that Asha now woofs and snorts LOL!!! When I say "What does a dog say? Woof Woof" She goes woof (not exactly but you get what she is doing!) and then I say "What does a pig say? *insert pig grunting sounds here*" she snorts! It is so cute. I have taken a heap of photos today but I have no website to put them on so I will get Ryan to sort it out on the weekend so I can spend some time on it during the holidays.
Emma & Jack got their reports today and no surprises ... just a question on Emma's that I need to clear up with the teacher when school goes back. Jack has to spend time on his presentation of work but other than that they are both doing so well.
Wowo jsut looked at the time ... better get the kids some dinner before they tell me I am starving them to death!
Hi everyone
Sorry i've been MIA for a while but we have just moved into a new house and have just got everything organised.
Nick took to the new house better than i expected, he slept in our bed for the first couple of nights, but he is fine in his new room now that all of his Buzz memorabelia (sp?) is in there LOL
I've got 25 pages of posts to catch up on, so i will do persoanls tommorrow
LOL at the dinners....Matilda gets pretty cranky for her food too!! I've started giving her afternoon tea around 4pm which is almost half her dinner, and then when DH is home, eh gives her "dinner" at 6pm :-$ he thinks he's doing all her dinner activities then but I just can't get her to last that long...
