    Question Heammaroids? (sp?)

So obviously I don't know how to spell the word, but just wanting to know what they actually feel like if you have them.

I've woken up early this morning with another bout of gastro (this is my 5th time in this pregnancy alone... ) and last time I was on the toilet (horribly vomiting at the same time, thank god for tidy bins next to the toilet!!) I noticed when I was wiping that I had a thing down there, in the bum hole area. Sorry for too much information!!!!

So I'm just wondering if I have vomited and poo'd so much this morning (believe me, I am not smelling good!) that I may have given myself one? If yes, its bloody huge!!!! Obviously I can't really get in a position to see it, so I'm just going by feel.

Is it more difficult to give birth when you have one??

    Thanks.
I'll be off to the loo now..

I had them too when i was pg and they went away once i gave birth however now only pop out to say hello when i have the runs so quite possible it is one. I couldnt feel mine at first but it gradually got worse until i could iykwm. It got to the point where even walking and sitting felt uncomfortable (not too painful but i could feel it iykwim) . TBH mine werent too severe but to me they were HUGE lol. I only had discomfort for a couple of days and on these days i used a cream i got from a pharmacy.

With regards to birth with them i cant tell you as i had a cs but i'm sure lots of ppl with roid's birth without them been too much of a prob. Maybe some one with more of an idea or who's done it will pop in.

I didn't get mine until post-birth and then it was the size of at least a fifty cent piece... largely uncomfortable and made me not want to move for the first week or more after birth.

I don't *think* it would be anymore difficult to give birth with one, just a high likelihood that you will create more I would assume. Sorry I can't be of much help.

I got them after my first child and each pg after that they got worse, they seemed to be really bad in the weeks leading up to birth and i would just pray that i wouldn't go into labour as there would be no way that i could push a baby out... With my last bub i found that those days where you go to the toilet several times they would really flare up so def the runs and vomitting has put heaps of pressure and made them come out, the whole area can swell up. I was in so much pain that i used proctocyl (like anusol) and also xylocaine which is a numbing cream. Also *TMI WARNING* if they are external you can push them back in and it relieves the pressure heaps.

When i was in labour i don't remember them hurting at all i only remember the contractions.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

Oh ice can be an option too good luck

OMG I have suffered with my bunch of grapes since I was 15 and now that I am up the duff they are terrible and yes when the burst and bleed it is soooooooo painful. I really hope that yours don't flair up anymore. My doctor gave me a fabulous cream and some coloxal tablets which helps to soften the stool (I really hate that word)

    Good luck!
