Klee - I really wouldn't worry about the rolling. I stressed when Izzy started rolling and would always put her back on her back when she first did it. The only thing that happened was she got really frustrated and sleep took longer than normal - and I always found her on her tummy later anyway. Elena is already sleeping on her tummy (her choice) or her side and is sleeping sooooo much better. I really wouldn't worry too much - they've all got pretty good neck strength now so you don't have to worry about face planting into the mattress. And OMG at your nephew walking at 7 months. When I said it wouldn't matter I'm not sure if I mean it hearing that!!

Jodi- ur child free holidays coming up sound fantastic! I would give anything for even just a night alone with DH. He has been doing some crazy shift work lately so were more like ships passing in the night at the moment.

We?ve got a week booked at Palm beach on the Gold coast from Dec 17. We really like the spot there and thought with the 2 littlies this time, we?ll just have a chilled time away as we?ll still be fitting in the kids sleeps during day. Will just be nice to spend some quality family time together.

Laranna- enjoy the time while your mans staying still- he can?t make as bigger mess when he cant move all over the place. Trust me, you?ll look back in time and only wish that he could stay still. Congrats (informally I guess) on the TTC part also.
How lucky you were too not to lose your handbag- must have been your day! Hope ur feeling better.

Klee- how cool that you come thru ballarat. We?ll have to catch up for a coffee next time you come thru

Blanche- saw your pics of the kids on FB- My god, Jack really is just about off & running. Macey isn?t even close to pulling her knees up yet. I?m thinking that Jack will be running well before he?s 1!

ok best be off so I can get macey back up for last feed and get myself to bed at a half reaosnable time. DH's off on night shift again tonight so cross your fingers that the kiddies sleep thru 4 me

Beckstar - your holiday sounds lovely. We've just done the same sort of thing in Sydney and like you say, you're pretty limited when you still want the kids to stick to their routine but it is really nice to just spend time together without the normal household chores to do.

Blanche - I think the older sibling is definitely a kick along for bubs to start moving isn't it. Hopefully Jack will be off and racing soon.

Elena is well and truly crawling properly now. No more commando crawling - up on her knees and off. I've spent the last few days dragging her back from the stereo, cds, tv etc. She tries to follow Izzy constantly. Izzy is loving the attention and now spends a lot of time racing over and giving Elena huge cuddles - its so cute. I've tried a few times now to give Elena rice cereal but she's just not interested yet. Not really concerned yet - one less person to prepare meals for!

Lulu - WTG on the crawling Elena!

Blanche - is Jack taken off crawling yet?

Jodi - saw on your FB that Emily cut a tooth - yay! Was she grizzly leading up to it? Did you have any clue it was coming through?

How is everyone else going? Bek, how was the massage?

Our postnatal water fitness finished today as the bubs can only go until they are 6 months old Joshua got his certificate for it though so I'm a proud mum LOL....now I just have to find some other exercise to do....really got to get back into pilates and aikido....

We started rice cereal on the weekend and got it on DVD and pics. Joshua screwed his nose up at first but then really enjoyed it. The first day he only ate maybe a teaspoon and yesterday and today he ate the whole lot of what mixed up which was about one tablespoon.....going to try maybe sweet potato later in the week I think.

We have our 6 month immunisation tomorrow, not looking forward to it Joshua has been a grumpy bum the last week and a half, refuses to sleep during the day and is tossing and turning at night so I think the needles aren't going to help with anything....

I completely forgot about the 6 month needles!

That's great Joshua is starting to like solids. Emily hates vegies still, but loves her fruit. I might try again in the next couple of weeks.
She was really unsettled on Sunday night, hardly slept. I only slept 3 hours. Then yesterday a tooth appeared. But apart from that, she was ok.
I saw on FB you said he got his first certificate, how cute! lol

We had a fantastic time away. Except we missed the girls like crazy. Can't wait till our family holiday next month. We're going to Townsville in 2 weeks, but not sure if we're taking the girls or not. We did have a babysitter arranged, but they forgot, and have made plans for that weekend

lulu- Wow on Elena cawling, I bet you have your hands full now. Amelie is still hardley even rolling so I dont think she will be moving anytime soon.

Laranna- hope the needles go ok. We have ours on Friday but Amelie is nomally fine.

Jodie- I am so jelous about your time away. Dh and I are dying for some time away but wont get it till next year some time. Amelie is opposite to Emily loves her vegies but not her fruit or custard.

Although we are going to the country this weekend to see Dh's sister but it wont be a holiday only one night in a tiny country town. We went to other weekend to see his brother and Amelie slept the whole 3 hr trip and slept really well while we were there I thought it would be a bit different beacause she is older now but she is just so laid back.

We put Amelie's head underwater for the first time last week at swimming she loved it.

    Hope everyone is well!

Jodi - I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday but I bet it was lovely to get back to your girls. Yay for Emily cutting a tooth.

Laranna - that's brilliant that Joshua is enjoying his solids so much. I'm still not having any luck with Elena. Maybe he's unsettled because he is about to cut a tooth or start crawling? "They" say that babies get unsettled before they hit a bit developmental change.

Kristale - that's great that Amelie travels so well. My folks used to live in Harvey and Izzy was fantastic too - slept in the car most of the way and then I think the country air helped her sleep at night too. Yay for Amelie putting her head under water. What a clever little girl. Where are you going for swimming?

Well, Elena is now crawling properly on hands and knees, pulling herself up on furniture and getting herself into a sitting position. I'm amazed at how quickly it has all happened - a full two months ahead of when Izzy did it. Ellie has her 6 months injections today (should have been last week but she had a bit of a sore throat) and Izzy has to have her 18 months injection too so I'm not looking forward to the next few days with two grumpy girls!

wow slow down Elena!! sounds like she will be walking in no time. hope the needles dont muck them around to much for you.

Kristale- glad Amelie loved going underwater..very cute!!

Jodi- glad u had a nice time away. that would be nice to get away!

Laranna- how did Joshua go with his needles?

Lulu - don't think he's going to start crawling any time soon, not unless he's decided to skip the whole rolling over stage He's still not rolling, only done it 3 times. I'm sure it will happen though. I was thinking he was teething but I can't see or feel anything on his gums.

His needles went as well as they could be I guess. He cried for about a minute. When the first needle went in I thought he wasn't going to cry at all, but when the nurse started to push the syringe down he started crying. Poor little bubba, had tears and all. Gave him a BF and a good cuddle. By the time we left, he was all smiles again though.

Blanche - sorry to hear about the PND, but I'm glad you are feeling much better this week.

Blanche- sorry to hear about the pnd. Good to hear you that the medication is helping too. My thoughts are with you.

Lulu- We go to oceanic waterbabies at kaleeya hospital in East Femantle but they do have other locations but it is very popular there is a waiting list to get in.

Amelie absolutley screamed last night for an hour at bed time I thought maybe it was her teeth but I cant see or feel anything and she is fine this morning, except for waking up at 3:30am crying because she had flipped onto her tummy and couldnt get back. That is the first time she has done that and she wasnt happy.

Blanche - sorry to hear the PND has really set in but good on you for getting some help and great that the meds are kicking in already. Its bloody hard work mentally, physically and emotionally looking after two little kiddies and you're doing an amazing job - don't forget that. It does get better, so hang in there.

    Hi all,
Just blowin back in again while I've got a spare few minutes- should be folding the washing ut bugger it I say!
My haven't we got some busy bubs with crawling, teeth & swimming certificates!

Lulu- good luck with the needles- Harry was fine after his 18mo ones so hopefully Izzy wil be too. Harry had his done at the same time as macey's 4mo needles and I think its better to get them all done together and out of the way. Macey was suppoed to have her 6mo check today but we went to the beach instead as the weather was fab so she'll get hers done next Tues now.

Blanche: Good on you girl for having the strength to acknowledge & reach out for help with the PND. I can only imagine how low some days must be for you but hopefully the meds are helping you to find the light at the end of the tunnel. My neighbour( & good friend) has just been diagnosed with PND and I've been feeling completely useless in not knowing how I can help her get back to a better place.

Macey is doing well- loves rolling on her belly but then gets stuck there. Last few days she started pulling her knees up underneath and then pushes backwards with her arms so she ends up off her mat. She is also getting stronger sitting up but still not by herself- is always easier though when she has a full belly to help her rest on :-)

Can't remember who wished me luck for my massage but it turned out to be faaarrrrr from relaxing. Id been getting aching legs of a nighttime in bed so the guy worked sssooooo hard on my thighs and lower back that I am now 3 days later severley bruised down both legs!-I kid you not! Both legs are black, purple & green down each side and has been so painful trying to sleep the last few nights. My DH couldn't believe it as I hardly ever bruise. He keeps telling me to explain to people how I really got them as I think he worries that people might think that he had something to do with it. So all in all, I don't think I'lll be going back to that massage man again.

We've had 2 hot dry windy days here and change has just coem thru with an awesome lightening & thunder show outside so I'd be go & post in case we lose power.

Hugs to everyone (especially Blanche) Never frget that you are a super-mum even if you don't always feel like it. Tommorow will always be a better day that today.

So sorry to hear that Blanche. I hope things start looking more positive for you from now.

beckstar - WOW! You must be in so much pain. He must have massaged you very deeply.

klee - woohoo on Joshua commando crawling, backwards! lol That must look so cute.

kristale - has she had any more screaming fits? Emily loves sleeping on her belly now. Each time I put her into bed for a sleep, she rolls straight onto her belly. We've had to buy some cot bumpers though, as she keeps getting her legs stuck through the bars, and screams. I know they're not SIDS recommended, but we had no choice. It's either that, or have her wake herself up at night.

laranna - that's good the needles went well. I still haven't booked ours. Emily isn't even 6 months yet, so I suppose it doesn't matter. I should ring up today though, to make an appointment.

Gotta run, Emily is cracking it.

ETA: back now, Emily woke up at 5.30 after doing a massive poo and leaking through. She's since done another poo, and is still really cranky. My guess is it's a tooth giving her grief.
I stopped breastfeeding last week. It was a hard decision, but one I had to make for the sake of my health. I have very low iron, and breastfeeding was taking too much out of me.
I tired Emily on yoghurt this week. She loves it, but she poos almost straight away, and has an unsettled period for a few hours after having it. So I think I'll ease up on the yoghurt and try and again in a month or so.

Jodi- Yep Amelie has still been screaming everynight. In the end I calm her down enough so she is quiet then put her in her cot and as soon as I close the door she starts again. So I have been leaving her 10mins and she is asleep before the time is up but that is sooo hard when she is really screaming and real tears so heatbreaking. I hope it ends soon. We are going away tomorrow to so it will be hell trying to deal with it at someone elses place.
