    What can I serve with...

    ...little Shepherd's Pies?

They are the sort without pastry, just mince, and lots of veges (onion, carrot, green beans, peas and corn) with gravy, and topped with mashed potato. I made about six little ones in individual dishes, plus a couple of big ones. The little ones are too small to be a whole serving on their own, so what else can I serve with them? They have a heap of veges, so didn't think of more of those...

    Any ideas much appreciated!

Along a similar line, bread rolls to mop up that gravy?

Even though they have lots of veges already, i'd so steamed green beans and peas on the side.

Salad, or maybe something like fried rice or cous cous as a side?

Oooh! Wish I had some garlic bread!!! All I have is sliced white bread for sandwiches. No matter, I have made garlic bread with that before (melted butter and garlic, spread on bread, put under grill....)

I am the only one that eats salad here! Unless its seafood salad, or the occasional potato salad... I would love some fresh crusty bread too!!!!

There is no such thing as potato overload in this house... I love potato wedges too... YUM!

Cous cous... theres an idea.... With any flavourings? Or just made plain?

I'd make the cous cous with a few vegies, maybe some fried egg, just to add colour...maybe that would soak up any gravy too?

I looked in the cupboard, but I am out of cous cous. I also think I am probably the only one here to eat it! Aside from Steph.

I made the most delicious fried rice I have ever made, but the boys ate a little while before getting home, so they only had a pie each. I had pie and fried rice, and Steph a whole lot of fried rice! Its all in the fridge now for tomorrow night.

    Thanks all for you suggestions.
