It is probably just me, but I do find the deli ones taste nicer than the pre packaged ones.
Healthy ****tail frankfurts?!?!?!
We never eat them and I bought some the other day, just an impulse buy as I was walking though and didn't look at contents etc but thought that they might be something my fussy won't eat much toddler would eat and yep, Im right but the ones I got are not very nice!! She eats them ok but they seem high in everything they shouldn't be so I was jsut wondering if other people give them to their toddlers/kids and if there is a brand or type I could get that aren't too bad for her seeing as she eats them! Are the ones in the deli any better?
Typical isn't it - there probably isn't!!TIA

Thanks Dach - might try them next time. I had a feeling that was the case - can they be frozen do you think???
we used to get them all the time when i was younger - m'um would buy on spesh and freeze them - to be honest, i think they're a little "tougher" when frozen and defrosted
Yep I buy them by the kilo bag and freeze them when they are on special
I buy them for staff morning teas and I always get the ones from the Deli - they are so much nicer than the packaged ones!!!
Yep definitely go with the skinless ones from the deli. And they are on special freqeuently. And they freeze fine. We used to buy them in bulk and seperate into smallr amounts
Thanks ladies!!! Ive been pulling skin off anyway for her! Deli it is!
oooohhhh just so you know, skinless ones have a much better flaour!!
I only buy the Don skinless ones. Found they are the best.
Have you tried a type of sausage called Chevaps? They are not quite as small as ****tail franks but are about as long as my ring finger, are skinless and are 100% beef. I think they are super tasty. If you get them in a supermarket make sure you read the packet as there are two varieties - chilli and plain. Both are good but of course for kids I'd suggest you go plain.
You would no doubt be able to get them at a good independant butcher also as they are traditionally mediterrainian (sp!) and european.
