Samm congratulations on Ruby!!! I love her name.
Hi Ali! Congrats on Rowan too.
I have been awol for the last couple of weeks. Nate is a bit of a buggar, but i hope to be back in the swing soon.
Will you let me join in here? Only 2 days before March he was born
Kim and Holly - of course, it wouldnt be the same if you and any other of our BB preg group didnt join us. After all we've been through a lot so far together why not continue and have new BB friends along the way!
Kim - Welcome back! I'm glad that Nate is doing well!!
My name is Amy and I had my 2nd daughter on March 5 aswell. We named her Ellise. (She shares Ruby's bday too samm! Hurray. Cierra loves being a big sister! (so far so good)
Just going to say a quick hi to let you know i'll be joining you all. Charlie was born Tuesday 10 March, he's one week old today!! It may take a bit for me to settle back into the swing of things with posting and keeping up to date. Charlie is DH and my second son, we have a two year old named Aidan.
I look forward to carrying on with my belly buddies as well as maybe meeting a few newbies. Hope the feeding and sleeping isn't consuming you all too much. I have so many things going through my head and want to ask you all about but just struggle to get the time to do it.
I had my and DH first child, a girl on 1st March. Eleanor Daisy is doing pretty well and I think I'm surviving the new mother thing okay. Hope to be in here a bit more often to chat and debreif.
my first quiet time in the last 4 hours - little poppet decided that she wanted to feed for hours and even a top of of formula hasnt done the trick! And then on top she became over tired. My little chick must be going through a growth phase - she is like a bottomless milk pit I applaud all of you that exclusively breastfeed. i think my sanity would have been lost a few days ago if i didnt have formula as the back up!
I have been dying for some ice cream so now there is a little bit of piece i'm off to have a bowl.
Samm yesterday Charlie decided to sleep ALL day, he woke for feeds but was asleep again right after. I think he had a growth spurt I'm not ready for him to get bigger yet!!
Hi everyone. I just wanted to wish you all a big congratulations on the births of your new babies. It seems like just yesterday I was in the same boat as you all and now my baby is one.
Enjoy getting to know your princes and princesses. I hope you get some rest and have a good recovery.
Hi Im Meg and my son Jasper was born on 3.3.09. Like his two older sisters he is not a sleeper, and even his day sleeps have gone out the window. So we're lucky to be getting half an hour of peace day or night. To be honest I don't like this part AT ALL. I have to just let him cry as Im exhausted. So different doing this with a toddler. At least last time DD1 was 7, so it was easier to bargain with her!!
Love my little man and want to appreciate every moment but to be honest I can't wait till he's older!
Congrats to everyone else!!
Meg - is Jasper still hungry? I know that i am new to all of this but if he is not settling for you could that be a reason and not sleeping for very long? I find with Ruby, now that she is BF, that my milk is just not enough and that she is still hungry - no matter how long she feeds and is easily settled with a top up of around 30 ml of formula. I know this may not to be everyones taste given the whole BF ideal but it may help and it may let you get some rest
Didn't end up going to the paed. Had a chiro appointment and Leon got adjusted and massaged. He LOVED it! He just zonked out with his arms above his head. My chiro convinced me to cancel the paed appointment and see how I go with him being adjusted and showed me how to massage his belly to help relieve the wind. Hope I'm doing the right thing
He actually had a good night last night once he settled! Settled finally at around midnight, and then fed at 2:15am, 5:15am and 7:30am, settled fairly easily between feeds. Hope he continues this as I'm so over feeding every 2 hours and less.
Thought I should pop my head in here and introduce myself. I'm Kaz and my partner and I just had our first baby, Jacob Hunter on the 11.03.09. I am also posting in the Feb thread because he was due on the 28.02.09 and I got to know those girls really well but am keen to get to know as many people with babies this age as possible! Hopefully I can keep up with both threads!!
Although Jacob's birth didn't go to plan, he is absolutely perfect and things have been pretty good so far. He is generally settled between the over night feeds (since leaving hossy and so far at any rate) and is more unsettled in the evenings. My mum is staying at the moment and her advice around feeding, burping and settling has been awesome. We've had a good day today and he has fed and slept well so I feel like a million bucks and anything is possible! I can continue it all after she goes home tomorrow but I know that's wishful thinking!
Hope you're all having settled evenings with your bubbas.
