    Paid Maternity/parental Leave 09 budget

    anyone know when it will be anounced if its included or not??

    I think the budget is released next week and I seriously doubt it will contain any paid mat leave scheme. With the huge drop in revenue and the pressure on due to higher unemployment payements (cos more people need them) and a pension increase that was promised I can't see any "spare" cash for mums! Maybe next time?

    budget is released the second tuesday in may - but i'm kinda of the same opinion as CF - i doubt it will happen this year

    The news reports in the last couple of days have been saying there is a possibility that it may be though . . . guess we will have to wait and see . . . if only the media were a reliable source of info
