Is strivectin stretch mark cream worth the money?

    Hi everyone
I've noticed that Myer has just started selling strivectin stretch mark cream. According to its website 93% of users noticed an improvement in the apperance of their stretch marks. I would LOVE to see that!! The only draw back is the cost- $190 for a six week supply. Has anyone tried this cream? Is it worth the money? Or should I just stick with my cheap bottle of bio oil?

Well, in the days before I took maternity leave, I was selling this product the week that it was introduced to Australia. It was too soon to have Australian testimonials, so all I could tell customers (and I'll tell you now!) was that it was being imported here by a cosmetics company (Trimex I think it was), but it isn't MADE by a cosmetic company, it's made by a pharmaceutical company and has had respectable testing and clinical trials done, not the cosmetic company 'testing', where they might test the final product on a few humans, but the rest on animals before releasing it.
So, the clinical trials showed that within three months there was a visible reduction in lines and scars. It was actually first designed to heal scars and worked very well, only for the researchers to realise that it also had an accidental effect of reducing the appearance of lines So, there you go!

Its sounding good Mayaness. Its a shame its so expensive though. I'm tempted to give it a try because I get depressed when I see my stretch marks.

When DS was newborn I had a woman at Myer call out to me - "have you got stretchmarks?" LMAO. She's lucky I'm not the sort to get all huffy and have a go at her! hehehe. I took the pamphlet from her and thought it looked interesting.

Yikes at the price tho! Didn't realise it was that much!

    Very exxy!
When I was selling it, some people said I might need to try it and pointed to my belly...only, this pregnancy produced none. If the next one treats me differently, I may be in line to try some! You don't need a lot, though - a little bit goes a long way.

It looks like no one else has tried it on the forum so maybe I'll have to be the first!

I love your quote (in the blue text) Liz.

Thanks Emma - I saw it in the ABA's Essence magazine, but I can't find it again to say who said it! hehe.

OT, but in the last issue of Essence I had a letter published in the positive birth stories section...guess which one is mine!
I got the quote from one of those emails that office workers get - you know, the ones with cynical one liners like "I love deadlines...especially the wooshing sound as they fly by" (which I was thinking about today...as a deadline went wooshing by and no finished assignment in sight...)
