Umm..All I know is, 95% platinum with 5% Ruthenium, no copper added.
So a no go on the ultrasonic cleaner then. Any other suggestions?
Trying to find a jeweller a couple of hours from us who has the experience with Platinum, so I can have it cleaned/buffed up when I'm around there.
I've been reading a U.S forum where the ladies there are putting their rings in a mix of different things, even cleaning with windex and toothbrushes I don't think I could do that to any ring...

eta: Thanks for the replies Queen
How often can you go to a jeweller? TBH it is not going to need cleaning THAT often. Just take care of it, take it off when doing dishes (unless wearing gloves) gardening, do not wear in pools, beach etc
I would probably speak to the jeweller who is making your ring, but I *think* you just use a polishing cloth.
Oh what 'colour' jewellery do you wear now? Gold or Silver?

I don't have platinum but a friend does and she cleans hers with palmolive dishwashing liquid and a toothbrush as thats what her jeweller said is best and works I wash my gold and diamond ring with the same method and its soo much cleaner than using the ultrasonic I have at home

Thanks girls. I will have to get DH to ring and have a chat with the jeweller.
I wear gold, but wear a ring on my right hand that is a gold band with silver on it as well... this will come off for the new ring (my eternity ring) to go on. Won't be wearing it on the same finger as another ring, so to avoid 2 different types being side by side. There will be no other rings on my right hand except this one..
Do your rings naturally shine? Or are they dull?
I do not get my jewellery polished, as my silver shines with me wearing it.
    Sorry so many questions!
I think speaking to jeweller is best!
    btw I wanna see photos!!!

Yeah jewellers do clean em better!
I would just look after it at home, then when you go to jeweller get it cleaned.
Ooo sounds awesome can not wait to see it!!
