Do you wear clothes (Jeans specifically) that are tatty looking?

No, I don't because I don't think I am one of those people that can pull off the 'sporty' look (in trackies) etc.... I always try to go out with nice jeans & a top or pants, skirts etc... even to the shops (plus you never know who you are going to bump into). I usually wear make-up too, but today I felt very unwell, so went without

I only wear trackies at home and I don't own any jeans with holes/rips in them. I think tattered jeans can look quite good but I don't think I could pull off that look lol!
Twice a week I do kinder drop off in my gym clothes though (leggings and tracksuit top) because I go straight to gym from dropping DD off and I CBFed getting changed once I'm at the gym (plus that will mean I'd be late to my class as I only just make it in time). DH on the other hand is another story lol

Yep. I don't mind jeans with worn patches and frayed hems. But I don't wear ripped jeans because I like to be warm! I used to never, ever wear trackies out of the house but I have done it a handful of times in the past few years.

It never occurred to me before that someone else would call that "tatty" and make a negative judgement on me.

Well I used to work for a jeans manufacturer so I have a large number of jeans and quite a few have purposely designed rips or patches on them so yes I do but they are $300 jeans and meant to be that way

I also wear trackies out and about especially if I am going to/from the gym and running errands. I also work as a swimming teacher part time so I always wear trackies when riding to work there.

Generally other times I do try to make an effort to look ok - but dressing for work in an office 4 days a week does get tiresome so I like to hang out in casual gear on my days off.

Not since I was about 21 when I used to wear my brother's ripped jeans. There was a time I wouldnt be seen dead in trakkies. I wouldnt even wear them at home but I got over it because they're comfy. Otherwise I try to avoid being seen in public in trakkies unless I'm exercising or dropping DH at the station (but then I'm in the car anyway).

I have recently moved to Boganville though, so noone would blink if I did go out in public looking like something scraped off the street. I try not to, even on my CBF'd days. It just gets me down.

I wouldn't/don't judge someone else wearing tracky dacks or ripped jeans etc - just that I can't wear them myself. Doesn't make sense I'm sure, but I don't look at anyone else negatively, but feel that if I were wearing something like that then everybody would be looking at me and judging me. My own insecurities I guess.

I tend not to notice what others wear unless its something particularly gorgeous if that makes sense - not that the person is stunning, but what they are wearing looks really good ITMS

ETA: I do judge my DH because I know that he's just lazy in how he dresses, has decent clothes he could wear if he chose to, and that what he's wearing isn't supposed to be ripped - its just old and dingy
