I suppose it depends - on whether you have a 'signature scent' or if you like to mix it up a bit? I'd probably get Eau de toilette, because I like to try different scents...

parfum lasts heaps longer but it is whether you have a signature scent or not.
I have both in J'Dore, and the parfum is stronger, lasts longer, and gives a much more rounded scent.
Parfum will last a lot longer, more than twice in my experience.
I try to buy EDPs wherever possible, they really do last much longer than EDTs and if it's your absolute favourite scent/signature scent, it's well worth the extra expense! To my nose, EDP's are a 'truer' scent, the EDT's smell *almost* identical but there are usually just tiny notes that don't carry through in the watered-down form - most people wouldn't notice at all but it bugs me when I'm used to using an EDP of a certain fragrance and accidentally buy an EDT (or can't find the EDP at any of my usual retailers) and it smells a bit different![]()
If you're just playing with new scents, an EDT would suit you fine. If it's a signature scent or something you really love, it's definitely worth the extra dosh! I have an old scarf that still smells of 'Poison' three or four washes after applying the EDP lol, it's been stored in my drawers for at least three years and I still get a bit of a whiff of it so yes, it DEFINITELY lasts much longer than EDTs![]()
I think EDP is much better value, and lasts more than twice as long in my experience.
