OP - where do you get your gold tiaras from? Cos I can often only find silver tiaras when I go shopping.
I wear gold or silver tiaras depending on which one I fancy on the day. That's right, DAY. Sometimes evening, but I have done the monthly food shop wearing a tiara before now. Including before Liebling.

They bring the contents of the shops to me. I just pick and choose
Ahh what a life.
My style has not changed since I don't know when, I dress plainly but I always dress neatly. I live in jeans most of the year. I do have some clothes, mainly a dress and two tops that I actually wear backwards because I think they look better that way. I will not wear trackies or sneakers unless I am exercising.
I hate seeing the tights as pants thing and I shake my head when I see people who choose to follow fashion instead of dressing for their body. Every clothing shop needs a sign right next to its store policy sign that tells people 'Just because it is in now does not make it right for you' or along those lines.
Nah, making "mistakes" is all part of the joy of discovering your own style. And if I really, really wanted to wear a yellow boob tube (can't imagine why I would, but this is hypothetical), why should there be some sort of fashion police to tell me no, not my colour, doesn't suit my body shape, you're not allowed.
I think dressing "plainly" isn't always a good thing. Don't be afraid to stand out sometimes. Unless you really thought it was worth leaving the house looking like *that* - seriously, cover up your underwear. Which includes tights/leggings. And that includes you, Batman. I don't want to see your pants. Old, grey pants held up with a yellow "utility belt" - didn't Alfred tell you "no, just no"? And you wonder why you're rich and single.
I probably break every rule there is. I have mixed tastes. I have a hidden goth scratching to get out, yet I love the look of retro 40/50's & often wear my hair in a bandana fashioned to that era (which at the moment probably looks heaps weird because I shaved my head lol) then I have my cheap kmart clothes mixed with my mum bum clothes & then I have a thing for cute little sun dresses which I never wear. Im all over teh shop lol
Oh my gosh, are yellow boob tubes back in fashion, I can get mine out now, with my big belly I will look mighty fine. I am all for experimenting with clothing and trying to find your style but I am more along the lines of these really short shorts that show cheek and so on. I pointed out a female to DH the other day that had a pair of denim shorts and a loose singlet top on that showed some waist, she had a fantastic body, very sporty and looked great. She siuted that style so nothing wrong with the clothes it was just the right person wearing it.
Kazzo, so are you saying that only fat people need style police to stop them showing flesh? Sporty people only for shorts and little tops?
I've worn hotpants before. I also have teeny-tiny microminiskirts in the wardrobe, although rarely wear them out the house. Stupid having a profession and needing to dress at all times. But pre-profession I've worn microminis out: is that banned? Or OK because I look great in them? Cos they don't exactly hide flesh.
Absolutley not and no reference was made to size of people. In my opinion size does not matter in your choice of clothes, but thinking about what you are choosing to wear that will suit you should. I am talking about following the latest fashion and it not suiting your shape/figure. High waisted pants/shorts for example, I see so many people wear them yet I don't think they suit most people. I am not saying ban any type of clothing at all, just that not all types of clothing suit everyone.
Yes, because I refuse to pay full price for anything I'm always out of fashion and probably look slightly quirky in my choices as many of them come from garage sales, school fetes and op shops!
Kazzo, I am very sorry if I have caused you offense with my statement. I read too much into your example of a sporty-looking person looking good in a flesh-revealing outfit. And I do agree with you that people should consider if fashion suits them, but if they really want to wear it then they shouldn't be stopped because of rules. Especially with those "you must never, ever reveal arms with any fat on them" type of rules. They can be more restrictive and upsetting than wearing something which looks fine on you because people don't really care if you have a little bit of arm flab: everyone does. However, the someone should tell a certain "make me famous show" judge about the waistline options he has.
Nai, I buy my clothes in sales. Then put them away for 6 month. Next season they're fashionable again and every fashionista chucked theirs out, so I look fashionable and individual.
Since i left my ex, i no longer have a dressingtable (to do makeup/hair, check how i look), no more full length mirror to check how i look head to toe, esp from behind, to check if anything is see through. My confidence is gone, so rather than buying, for my shape, i have no clue what suits me now, so i just buy cheap men's tees, to hide in, and baggy jeans. If they sold paperbags to hide in, i would probably buy those.
i know the rule is not to wear big baggy men's clothes, when you're carrying extra, so yes, i'm breaking the rules. And then i go to school drop off/pick up where the other parents are either ready for work professional looking, or super cute slightly arty. And the SAHM mum of two young kids, who gets up at 5.30 every day is there with full makeup, straightened hair. Looks like a model to me, she is so nice. she even talks to someone like me. Wish i could be invisible. I no longer have any clue how to smarten up, even for a rare special ocassion.
very short, and i hide in very long skirts too. Most of the maxi dresses (well the ones i can afford) are SOOOO long, i could not hem them and they still look ok. Plus, there is the issue of the non-existent sleeves, and i need sleeve action to happen.
i bet Trinny and Sussanah would put me in heels, all i wear is flats, after dropping my arches two decades ago (over use of high heels).
