Phew! Thanks girls, I feel much better now!!

I think the reason she doesn't like me looking "younger" is because DH is 14 yrs older than me & looks older than what he is due to balding & I have been confused as being his daughter on occasions (He'd kill me if he knew I was telling you this!) but it hasn't happened for a few years & now that I think about it, it seems to have been happening mostly when I had a fringe LOL

    Oh well haha

I feel good now because my 3 yr old daughter has now named me her "twin" LOL & she's proud to call me her twin so that makes me very happy!
I just took a few photos of us together with our twin fringes hahaha I'll post them in a sec

It suits you, you look great. You are lucky because you have a nice even fringe. I have a cows lick so can't pull one off.

Your MIL needs to learn some tact.

I really like fringes, it's looks nice! If you're not sure about it, try parting it at the side and swoosh it across your forehead... I do that with mine when it's getting a bit long and I can't get to the hairdresser.

OMG, I had the exact same experience about 6 weeks ago - my MIL said almost the exact same thing!!

Mine starts a lot further back and is longer and fuller, trying to think of someone famous with a similar fringe...um, kinda like the Veronicas?

Anyhoo, my DH said it made me look 14 - that was the BEST thing he could have said!! hahaha.

It does take timeto get used to it, I still have days when I think...hmmmm, did I do the right thing? But now I can grow my hair out without it hanging in my face constantly (my hair is UBER soft and silky, sounds great in theory but not when it can't even hold a bobby pin...no joke. My hairdresser couldn't even get the front of my hair to stay back) and am looking forward to having a bit of length and being able to wear it up again.

You look great - don't worry about your MIL - I'm not
