Nadine, that sounds like a good way to find a pair of jeans, but I definitely know what you are saying about the time thing - who has time to spend a whole day trying on jeans?! I generally wear mine until they're ridiculous (worn out, too big, too small, .... whatever) and then dash out for a quick trip, try on three pairs and buy one!
My issue is, the jeans that fit fine in the changeroom, and then change shape when you wear them! Mine always are snug when I buy them, and then relax as I wear them, to the point of falling off my rear! I've also got the bigger hip/thigh, smaller waist thing, but just about every woman I know has the same frustration with jeans - not enough leg/hip room, and too much waist. Who are they making these pants for??!!

If someone finds the "wonder pair" let me know!

Yeh that does sound like a good way to find the right pair but who has the time to do that!! And I am sure I would be over it verrrrrrrrrrrrrry quickly.

Hopefully SOMEONE out there knows how to find the right pair!!

Cricket - I always wonder who makes these pants!! The one thing I hate is going in to one store and being one size, then going in to another and you are a different size!! Very frustrating

Try JAG, i had a bit of luck in there......

My only other tip is to buy jeans that are too tight b/c they always stretch up a size then you need a belt?!

Why don't you want to wear a belt anymore? just curious!

Good for you loosing all that weight! nice work!

ETA- Just thought of another tip....... buy stretch jeans, less likely to need a belt.....

For a pear you might be better off with a bootleg shape than a skinny jean.

Hmmm good question - why do I not want to wear a belt anymore???!! I think its mainly because I dont like any of the belts out there at the moment and mine has been worn to death!! Plus, some tops look better when there is no belt underneath.

Dachlostar - yeh I think bootleg would be more for my shape too.. My hips and thighs arent as big as they used to be but I probably still wont be able to pull them up over my knees as my legs are muscley! I bet, if I did try on skinny jeans - I wouldnt like it any way!
