How often do u wash your hair??

I love straightening my hair, looks so well manicured, and makes me feel almost feminine! Lol!

But after 1 day it is oily again, and I need to wash it.

I wash my hair at least every second night, but mostly every night. I use the shampoo/conditioner for oily hair. Only condition the tips. Tried a lot if different brands (including one the was $70 for 500ml!!!)

ususally every second day for the same reason (oily) though it also depends if ive had a dark colour out through as that makes my hair oily too

my hairdresser told me that darker colours have more moisturiser in them compared to lights/blonde colours due to the bleach which dries out the hair iykwim

Sorry about before. I just can't get the hang of tapatalk, so my messages were a bit scattered

Rouge, how long are you aiming for now?? I've read similar things, but just can't get past how oily it looks. I really should see what it looks like after a week... Hmm

Miss E - I would love to be able to do mine once a week How long is yours? Is it dark?

Yep it is dark, but also really thick so the oilyness doesn't make it look flat iykwim? At the moment it is shoulder length, I did have it long for many years and then went to a bob awhile back, but have always done the once a week thing. For me straightening it is more about smoothing the individual hairs rather than keeping it straight. It does get a few kinks/waves as the days go by, but it doesn't go booffy. There is no way I could wear my hair out just blowdrying it!

ETA: I've been using the Tony and Guy shampoo and conditioner for straightened hair and finding it great. It makes it easier to straighten and I think the hair holds it longer too. Also it's around $15 a bottle which isn't too exxy.

Funny you say that because I changed to Tresemme and I had to wash my hair more often and it made my hair very frizzy and static different for everyone I suppose.

I used to get really oily hair and wash everyday, I now wash twice a week and never feel that it is really oily (not like it used to be every morning), I had to train it though and in the beginning it was horrible! I also have dark hair but mine is very straight naturally.

I used to use conditioner but only on the tips to avoid extra oil on the scalp, now I don't use conditioner at all.

If I'm curling I just use a protective mist (for hot irons etc - but I only use 150 degrees anyway) and then I'll mist with hairspray to set. I can get away with my hair like that for a few days just with finger combing through the curls because of the awesome cut I have. Then if I want to polish it up I just recurl the top layer. Takes me about 5 minutes.

If I am going for full on curls I use a curling product.

I also love delorenzo's anti frizz serum and that is brilliant. I also have volumising sprays etc as well.

Yeah, every 4-7 days, usually closer to 7. Starts to get a bit greasy after about day 5 but I'm like Joeve, I just wear it up. I hate blowdrying hair and like it to dry on it's own but it's so cold at the moment to have wet hair!

I only wash my hair about twice a week. I don't have oily hair either so I can get away with it. I use Nature's own anti dandruff shampoo and herbal essences conditioner, then occasionally use De Lorenzo treatment

2-3 times a week, depends if I have been swimming or not. If swimming I need to wash the chlorine out so I do it more reguarly. I seem to need to wash it more now that it is short as I can't just tie it up now!
