    This is a long shot...

    ButI thought i'd try anyway

I am going to an awards night dinner thing (for 12 week challenge) on Dec 5th and I can see the dress I want in my head. It's black and it comes high at the neck (kind of like turtle neck I think but not rolled over)and is sleeveless so the top is almost like a triangle (the sort of shape that accentuates your shoulders) and I want it cut down low at the back.

Does that make sense? Can anyone picture it? I'm not very good at explaining lol! So the dress would come straight from the point where the neck meets the shoulders, down.

I have looked everywhere but I can't find anything like this. Can all you wonderfull BB girls keep this in mind if you go shopping because this is my dream dress!

    I want it waaahhhhhhh!!!

My max is about $150 too

    Thanks

Have you thought about finding a seamstress? They may be able to make it for you just from your description or you might be able to find the pattern. A dress that is fitted to you would stunning.

I agree - find a dress maker and tell them your budget. It shouldn't be too hard to make and it would be tailored to fit your body. Sounds gorgeous!

what you're talking about is pretty basic really as far as cut goes - material shouldn't be much seeing you're only a small fry! so all you have to do is find someone that can sew

fwiw - i've had clothes made in the past - i've cut down on costs by cutting the material for seamstress - so it takes a few hours of her work away... scope out a few websites (simplicity, burda etc) - look at their patterns, find what you're after - then go and get the pattern, and get it made

you're highly unlikely to find a simple little black dress for less than $150...

it's a Sixties vintage design, i think i know exactly the one because i have one...a Sixties original in black crepe and diamontes. have you thought of getting a pattern and having a dressmaker do it?

i hope you find what you want! graduation dresses are very special

I would say you may be looking at $200+ to get it made depending on the quality of the material and the complexity of the design. Shop around for a seamsmistress and just tell them you have a budget.

Let us know how you go!

    I have found it...but it's in England!!

A bit of a dilemma. Do I order it? What if it doesn't fit? It says returns have to be made within 14 days...timing could be pretty tight if it doesn't fit. Also it is a little on the short side...

What do you think?? And what do you think of the dress?

CQ - scope out the other images - it's not what you wanted hun - it's high at the back, and has a cross over neck line - so yeah, it emphasises your shoulders, but essentially has exactly the same back as the front
