Looking for a product to encourage curl

I'm growing my hair out and have two weddings coming up in the next few weeks (one is a formal Italian wedding...no pressure or anything! )

I am growing a full fringe out too and most days just pin it back.

For these weddings I want to wear it out though. My hair is naturally quite wavy and I think it will be better if I wear it wavy, that way the fringe growing out will be less noticeable (besides which I detest straightening my hair these days).

I generally just use good old fashioned styling mousse - true story. One of my friends recommended it and it actually works really well but you have to be careful not to use too much or you end up crispy

I'm looking for a product that will encourage the curl/wave in my hair without making it go crispy.

Anyone have any recommendations?
