    Very cracked fingers

I have very cracked fingers. They are so sore. Its a combo of dry skin from using water or wipes and eczema. I use eczema cream which sometimes works and I have used bepanthen which worked for a bit, cetaphil, avon moisturiser. I use gloves to wash the dishes. I just want to fix them. Any recommendations?

    Cheers

How about Lansinoh? I've just started using it on my cracked heels and seems to be working well.

Hemp Hand Protector from the Body Shop about $22. It's amazing what it can do for cracked skin. I used to sell loads of it, esp to mechanics, nurses, childcare workers - worth a try for sure!

What brand wipes do you use? I found most that even say they are hypo-alergenic etc still agravate my skin. I can only use two brands and both are organic type ones. I find alow vera plant (straight from the plant not in a tube from a shop) works best to heal my hands.

Oh yes you are just like I was a few months ago!! Firstly DITCH the wipes and go cloth wipes. I used facewashers at first and then moved onto proper cloth wipes from shops (I know Maz stocks some pretty groooovy ones). It didn't matter WHAT wipes I used, my fingers would crack and my goshness it hurts soooo bad
This was the big one for me, finding out the cause. I thought it was the washing up but then realised it wasn't because I started using gloves and it was still happening... turned out to be the following combo...

Latex... get the Chux gloves, they are purple and are lined and the BEST (yes I have tried them all)
SLS, it's in everything, shampoo, soap etc. It is the foaming agent (I think) but Pantene doesn't have it!! Since then it's been a lot better.
Also wear gloves to hang out the wet washing!
Oh and moisturise 2 times a day Doing it more ended up with my skin NEEDING more moisturiser so it ended up being detrimental. I would moisturise all day and when I stopped CRAAACK ouchie!!

Good luck. If you have no luck with that there is a cream you can get, Diprosone OV, I used it a couple of times and it clears it up straight away if I find I can't get rid of it.

    I know you pain!

After using a hand cream wear cotton gloves to bed. The cotton allows the skin to breathe and it keeps the skin moist.
The dish washing detergent can also do harm to the hands, I cannot wear gloves, so have to be careful.
Be careful not to let under your rings stay wet as this can also cause problems.

All the best as you find something that works for you.

Also wear cotton gloves under rubber gloves when washing the dishes.
