Glad I'm not the only one! I love them on other people, too, just on me they come out so strange, I can't wear themYou have to get Maitresse, I find it so much more wearable than the original AP - but then I much prefer Eau Emotionelle over the original. I think I'll keep it because the bottle is so gorgeous, but I can't see myself wearing it very often, it's a bit more 'woody' than I prefer. It gets great about three or four hours in, but before that I'm not a fan lol
I've actually only had that happen to me with a bottle of Avon perfume, Onyx - if you store them correctly, perfumes can last for years and yearsI have a bottle of vintage Dior Poison that has evaporated over time into a really concentrated, thick liquid - I don't wear it because it's so special, but it smells incredible, just like it did when it was bought. DH gave me a bottle for Mother's Day or Valentine's Day a couple of years ago and it's beautiful, but I hate that they reformulated it, it does smell different

I'm actually looking forward to my bottle of Cinema 'ageing' - the tester I tried at the chemist was pure vanilla, but the fresh bottle I have is a lot more floral - if the vanilla intensifies with time, that'll be fantastic
My favourite site for perfume talk is Fragrantica - it has a database of just about every perfume imaginable, with reviews and forums, perfume 'news' (things like upcoming releases, interviews with famous perfume 'noses' etc) and a whole bunch of other stuff - I can spend hours trawling around looking up perfumes and reading all about them![]()
