Question Slow cooker the same as crock pot?

Hi all, I know there's a legion of slow-cooker fans on BB . I have an old-style crock pot and I'm wondering are the new slow-cookers any different? Do they have a heavy ceramic pot like the crock pots do?

More importantly, do I need to modify regular "slow cooker" recipes in any way when I'm using my crock pot?

    Thanks all, in advance.

    As far as I know they're same-same.
I've always called them crock-pots. TBH I was a bit confused about what these new-fangled slow-cookers were until I figured out that they were the same as the good old crock-pot lol.

Marydean - they are the same. The Crock Pot was an early model that's all. The new ones still have a ceramic pot, which you can lift out for easier cleaning. Recipes should not need to be modified.

    Happy cooking!
