So you were $300 out of pocket, do you have private health insurance or did you just pay for it yourself and then claim back on medicare?? Sorry if thats a dumb question!

We paid for it ourselves - we were lucky it was in the year we hit the Medicare Safetynet so got some of it back at tax time.
