Question Choc Mousse recipes please .....

    Hello all,

Does anyone have a yummy Chocolate Mousse recipe that is kinda fluffy & light in texture ... & isn't sickly sweet ... you know something that is just right

Also any other ideas of what to decorate on top instead of the usual grated chocolate or fresh strawberries ??

    Thanks for any kind replies

    Cheers from Lorelle xox

I make one that you can control the sweetness, is easy to make - but has no raw eggs as I have the kids.

225g chocolate (Not cooking chocolate - it chunks) Dark chocolate for sweeter.
    300 ml thickened cream

    1. Chop chocolate and place in top of a double boiler, or in a microwave-safe bowl, microwave chocolate until melted. Stir occasionally until chocolate is smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
    2. Whip cream in large bowl with electric mixer until soft peaks barely form.
    3. Fold chocolate into cream and spoon into serving dishes. Chill 30 minutes in refrigerator, until set.

    Vegan Chocolate Mousse

WARNING: Incredibly rich, very small quantities required!

Step 1: Melt together 1 block silken tofu, 1 block vegan dark chocolate (Green & Blacks, Whittakers) and 1/4 cup sugar
Step 2: Blend until smooth with stick mixer or in food processor
Step 3: Pour over a base of digestive biscuits and raspberries (or other seasonal sharp flavoured fruit)
Step 4: Decorate with crumbled up bikkies, maybe a raspberry or a mint leaf as well.

Much lower in cholesterol and fat than average versions, and a lighter carbon footprint too!

Isnt it? The kids love it as frosting on tortes. I make what they call - the Dietbuster. Angie picks it over the cheesecake shop, lol!

    Enjoy!
