I need to cover up my dry crappy chocolate cake I made earlier - so thought I could have chocolate icing with sprinkles and it would be edible... lol

About 80 g melted choc and 2 Tbs cream, mix together about 4 min.. makes a great choc ganache....![]()
I do the cocoa powder, icing sugar and a bit of milk (milk that Em can have) and make it as thick as I can.

I do 1 cup icing sugar with 1/2 cup cocoa and butter/nuttlex. If that is too thick, I add a drop or two of water in it until it is the consistency I want.
how much butter do you do christy?
I do about 50 grams of butter and then mix in the icing sugar and cocoa. Bit by bit I add more icing sugar and a little boiled water until I get the amount and the consistency perfect. I taste as I go of course - just to be sure!

For some reason it came out really dark.. I added too much water so then had to add more icing sugar and cocoa.. and then had to keep on adding and adding and adding - I had HEAPS.. LOL
It would have been really dark because of the amount of cocoa. You can never have too much icing though![]()
