Icing sugar (confectioners sugar) vs icing mixture
Quick question: is the difference that icing mixture has cornflour?
And what difference does this make to things like
For a mint sauce recipe (from the USA), that asks for confectioners sugar, what difference would it make using icing micture as opposed to pure icing sugar?
ETA: And can I just buy it from the supermarket? I'm sure I could only find icing micture?
LOL its pretty much just sugar, rice wine vinegar and mint mixed together haha
1⁄2 cup packed fresh mint leaves
2 Tbs. confectioners' sugar
1⁄3 cup cider vinegar or rice wine vinegar
In a blender or mini food processor, combine the mint, confectioners' sugar and vinegar and process until the mint is minced. Spoon into a small glass bowl. Set aside.
you but PURE icing sugar here(confectioners sugar)
icing mixture has something in it to make it smoother..
i imagine it wouldnt make any difference with your sauce
