She might need a few cycles to begin to understand what's *normal* for her. My sister and I were very different with our cycles, as was my Mum and I. Anything is normal at this point. 7 days doesn't sound anything unusual to me.

How are you feeling about all of this though? It's a special time for both of you. Are you going to do anything to celebrate her menarche?
