How long did it take you to conceive after a MC & D&C?

Wow Lindy, what a journey.
I am amazed at the strength of all the woman in here and feel blessed to be able to share your stories. It makes my experience seem small to a lot of yours.
I am surprised that you didnt have any D&Cs for the 3 MCs that you had. I have had two since Sept, one as the gyno just wanted to have a look (I had very long cycles) (though I was actually pregnant when he did it!!!!...another long story I posted on here), and one for my MC. I think my OB does a D&C once you are after 6ish/7ish weeks.
I am thrilled that all seems OK and hopefully it is just time before you get pregnant again. Would your partner have a test?

Bliss, that is so sad for your friend...it's so true that someone is always worse off....I was talkng to somone who had 14 m/c before she had her daughter....I' just couldn't go through it that many times.

I wish you the best of luck....we saw our little blobs heatrtbeat at 7 weeks and i was just so glad we had made it past the 6 weeks when it had happened the time before...which made it worse at the next ultrasound when the little blob had shrunk with no heartbeat.... i just hope everthing goes ok for you this time.

We are going to wait a bit longer....but I know what you mean about that 5 weeks going slow cause it's all you can think about...you just want to get to that 'safe' time...when things still go wrong sometimes unfortunatly....when we start trying again i almost don't want to know that im preg...till it is 12 weeks and i can feel that bit safer! No one should have to go through this!

Hi, new year, new beginnings and hopefully new babies for everyone. We too had a missed m/c in october and D&C and this month our first month of ttc - i asked my specialist about the being more fertile bit and she said more to concentrate on being mentally ready - body takes care of itself.

Good luck to us all - I am in 5dpo and feeling very impatient!!

My doctor told us to wait about 3 weeks and then she would give us the green light to start trying again. She told me that your after your first cycle after a D & C you are really fertile. I am so scared that it is going to take forever. I think it is what is stressung me out right now. Anyone have any advice?

all i can say is look after yourself, eat well and try not to stress!
Chances are if you are really stressing it wont happen, try to relax and let nature work for you!

Well my pregnancy saga seems to draw on. I have been bleeding through out the pregnancy, though since the last bout of heavier bleeding which was when I had the blood tests and scan, I have been spotting. Well on Sunday night I was watching TV and felt bleeding and then went to the bathroom and passed what I thought was a large clot. (about the length and width of two fingers). Freaked out as thought I had lost the baby there and then. Called my awesome OB who told me to come in for a scan first thing Monday morning. He also said that a clot was not 'large' until it was the size of a fist...
Anyway, my scan was great...baby had grown really well in the one week since I had the previous one, but I had a blood clot. So to cut a long story short I have been home all week on 'bed rest'. When the dr told me to take a week of work I nearly died as I dont even take a week if I am dying, though to be honest have enjoyed the rest. Just hope that all works out. So 8 weeks on Saturday and I can not wait for the 12 week mark to come as I know I wil be safer then. I know that I can still MC though hopefully by resting the clot will stop growing and/or reabsorb into the uterus and not bother the baby!

I had an M/C On 19th Feb I was 10 weeks.
I passed 4 giant fist sized clots and lost about 2 ltrs of blood as well. All in about 3 hrs. Because my body had been so complete about the process i didn't have to have a D&C, I Bled like a normal AF, for 3 days spotted for another 2.
saw my OB yesterday, he told me to wait another 45 days if my AF hadn't turned up to take Primulot to start AF and then go back on Clomid to TTC again.

I had major Egg white last week, so we'll see what happens maybe my body had learnt to have a natural normal cycle all on it's own (not one that goes for 110 days)

waiting waiting waiting, then we wil be back DTD , every 36 hrs from day 10-18.

Well one week turned into two and I am really glad to be heading back to work on Monday. I had a 9 week appointment on Wednesday and scan to see how the clot was going. Was very nervous. Great news is that bed rest (or something) did the trick. I only have a tiny clot left which poses no threat so hopefully I will go on to have a healthy baby! Ahhhhhh. Next appointment is the 12 week scan. Lets hope I can get there with no dramas.

I've just read your posts, and just wanted to say best of luck for the long road through till 12 week scan (why does the time go slower?).

So I'm thinking of you and sending sticky vibes! Someone suggested to me to pick one special thing to do for yourself during each week of the first trimester. I've found that very helpful - something pleasant to look forward to look forward to each week!

Well girls, all is going great guns which is fabulous. Now at 14 weeks and everything seems to be going along nicely. The 12 week scan was amazing...such a difference to the 7 week scan...there was a real baby in there!
Sept seems like a lifetime away, though I am sure it will go quickly.
