Charb,
Im so sorry for your loss hun, and for the trauma associated with an ecoptic. In a 12 month period I had an ectopic pg (I also lost my right tube) and a m/c. My third pg was a success (although I had a couple of scares early on) and my DD is now 1! When I went for my first scan with DD which was an early one at around 7wks I asked them which ovary had released the egg and they told me it was the right one, when I asked them to double check, they took out my history and were as suprised as I was that the egg had 'gone the long way round'.
I had lots of bad days where I would sit and cry and the fear that I wouldnt have a child use to cripple me some days, but somehow I tried to be positive, and with the help of a wonderful naturopath/healer, I achieved a natural pg and healthy baby, despite drs telling me I had to do IVF etc etc..
THe drs wanted me to do the 'tests' too, but I refused as I wasnt ready to go down that path so I cant help you in that area, but make sure you ask lots of questions so you know exactly what they are testing for and why.
I hope my story can give you some comfort in knowing that despite having had an ecoptic pg and m/c there is no reason why you cant have a successful pregnancy the next time.
Good luck, and take care of yourself and your heart
Lisa
