I am sorry for your loss but if this is your first time and it's an early miscarriage, you really should not worry about it. The official rate is 25% however the actual rate is as high as 60% since most people didn't even realise they are pregnant before they miscarried, they just thought the period's late for a couple of days. So, this is completely normal, don't stress about it. Most likely there is no reason. If it keeps happening for more three times, that's when tests are conducted.

So, just try again when you are ready.

    Hi TY,

Welcome to BB and I'm sorry you've lost your little angel baby. My advice to you is try again when you feel ready. I've had a late miscarriage at 20 weeks in October but I will start TTC soon as I would love a little earth baby. It's perfectly understandable for you to feel scared, I recon I will too when it comes to the crunch....but having an earth baby is a dream for me and I have to stay strong and brave. As teddy said, when women are TTC and experience a miscarriage early on in the piece, it's very common and then most go on to have healthy bubs. Sometimes these things happen when the egg gets fertilized at the wrong time in your ovulation cycle, so if you try for a baby a day or so before and during ovulation you'll have a good chance. My gynie once told me, that if I have regular intercourse with my partner, I'm on the right track......Good luck hun, sticky vibes to you !!!!!

Thanks everyone. This is my second MC, the first I was not very far along and very young. I was told that it was normal because I was young. This last one was planned, I lost my angel at 13 weeks and now I think that somethings wrong. I know they say after 3, but I'm still very nervous! Thanks to everyone! I'll just have to be patient and try not to stress.

    Hi loopy_girl21,

I'm sorry to hear that you've lost two angel babies. 13 weeks is still very early, I think if you had a late miscarriage your OB would want to investigate asap. Because 13 weeks is just 'outside' the 12 week mark ( where if things are gonna go wrong, that's when they are gonna go wrong ) your OB probably thinks it's another case of 'bad luck'.
They probably don't realise what a loss a miscarriage is...

I know you must be very nervous to try again, but if you give up because of your fear ( which I understand is completely natural and normal ) you won't get a chance at having a beautiful earth baby. But if your gut feeling says there is something wrong, please don't hesitate to see your gynie or if you're not happy with him/her go and find another one and let him/her know of you concern.

I wish you all the very best and I hope you get to hold a beautiful and healthy bub soon in your arms.

Please know that we are all here for you in your journey, I know it can be tough sometimes, but I know all the stress and worry is all worth it in the end

    Big hugs
    Beata xx

Don't be scared to try again. It took 4 pregnancies for me to get my little man but it was worth going through the losses to get the end product. Most doctors will not investigate losses until you have had 3 consecutive losses. I was awaiting investigative surgery when I fell pregnant with my son. There's not always a known reason for a loss. I don't know what caused any of mine.
