Zachary'sMom - Congratulations on your engagement. Best wishes to you both for a happy & healthy life together.
Congratulations on your engagement Theresa!!
Lisa, I'm so sorry your body has messed with your head this month, what a bummer:(. It's happened to me many times and it's soooo damn depressing. Well done you for keeping strong though, keep your chin up babe, your time will come.;)
Hello all,
Well back from a fantastic break of not doing much at all and find myself feeling quite 'still' in my head for the first time in ages.
I hope you all had a peaceful Christmas and here is wishing for a sticky bub filled 2009 for all of us.
Afraid I have chickened out of personals today. I have been trying to catch up but I'm sure I will miss someone, so I'll do some more reading, then I'll come back in.
Congratulations to all the bubs and BFP that have appeared since I wandered off into the ether, it is wonderful and gives us all lots of hope.
My thoughts are with all of you who are ttc, DH and I are back in there again so lots of :bluedust: for all of us.
Special congrats to Theresa- being married is great!! After 2 years I still get a buzz from introducing DH as 'my husband'!! tee hee.
AFM- I finally stopped bleeding from m/c on Dec 16th and o'ed on Dec 25th, so who knows?!?! I POAS yesterday, and it was BFN but its still early, AF is meant to arrive on Wed/Thurs. We went to see the FS on the 29th and after a good talk (he seems very 'together', so I'm impressed so far), we both had a heap of blood samples taken and the results will come in over the next few weeks. It feels good to be doing something about it. While he pointed out that 2 mc in 6 months (in 18 months of ttc) isn't out of the range of chance (1 in 36 apparently- i hate stats!!) its worth checking it all out.
OK, better get going, last day of my break so lots of errands to run, take care all,
:bluedust::grouphug::goodluck:
Indy
Hey Girls,
Just letting you know AF has finally arrived! I think so anyway! Its very light and I dont have severe cramps which usually leave me in agony.
Did anyone else find their Af to be different after a miscarriage and D&C? or after taking a drug to get AF started?
Im feeling quite excited and positive today that our journey can finally be on the way again.
I start taking clomid on wednesday. I hink I will take it just before I go to bed as Ive heard this gives you less chance of side effects. Has anyone else conceived using clomid? any advice?
Acria - Im really sorry. Hopefully we will both get to join the same belly belly group next month? or better yetfor some odd reason its not your AF and you will get a BFP!
Zacharys mum- congrats on your engagement - enjoy this special time! Have you set a date yet?
Hey just a question - how do I get a little winged angel on my ticker?
Hi ladies,
Erybery - AF has finally arrived. It is nice to start on the TTC journey again after waiting for AF. I must say I felt the same waiting for it after my m/c. Knowing you can start the journey again is a positive step. GL I hope the journey is a short one. Not sure about clomid though. Hopefully the other ladies can help you on that one.
Indy - Glad to hear you got on well with your FS. Who knows hopefully you don't even need one and AF doesn't turn up this week. ;)
Theresa - :happyforyou: Great news on your engagement. What a great start to the year to have such wonderful news. All the best with your wedding plans.
Acria - Sorry AF had to rear her ugly head.
Kezzabird - Thanks for the good news story and :hello:
Mel - All the best about deciding which way to go with the Lap surgery. Its hard to know what is right to do. Do we give it a couple more months or do we just go ahead and do it. Whatever you decide, I am sure good things are just around the corner.
HannahD - that this is your month girl. Wishing you a BFP when you next test.
Jen - Hope you are right about your temp and it was an implantation dip. GL :D
Hi to all the other ladies I have missed
AFM - AF reared its ugly head today. I am surprisingly holding up rather well. I suppose I really knew in my heart it wasn't to be this month as I did a test on New Years Day and it was a BFN and then I had light spotting the last couple of days which is common for me just before AF (I take that as a good sign that things are back on track after m/c as this is my first full cycle since then). Its funny, on new years eve night after all my yearning, wondering and praying and everything that goes on in your head each night when you want a baby so much, I felt this peace come over me like I am not in a hurry anymore. I finally think that I had perhaps come accept the m/c & the baby I lost is gone to play wih the angels and I can finally move on. Its not that I don't want it anymore, I DO want a baby more than anything, but I have come to realise that even if we do the right things, we can't control when its our time & we just have to wait and be patient. Maybe this is our year, maybe it is not, but all I know is that I have hope and faith that it will happen :D Another month begins for me today and who knows, this could be the one..........we will have to wait and see
Polly
xx
erbery - yay for Af arriving, and you being able to move ahead :) I found after my 'big' m/c that Af was a little strange the first time she came after it. Fingers crossed for us both, and everyone, this cycle! Belly buddies together would be awesome!
polly - great to hear you being so content and at peace with the TTC process! It'll do you a world of good, and I only hope that some of it brushes off on me!
AFM - well, the bleeding is still happening, though..well it still doesn't seem quite like AF. I must just stop thinking about it until Friday. Then I can get a HPT and know for sure one way or another. If I am not pg, I'll be heading to the Dr to try and get some hormone checks done, or a prescription for progesterone or something. I *think* what's happening is that I'm falling pg, but then when AF is due, my hormones aren't stopping AF from happening, despite the pregnancy. I've had three seperate cycles do this now, and it's the only explanation for what has happened. I took B6 to lengthen my luteal phase..but I only started taking it a week and a half ago..could it have worked already and lengthened my cycle by 3 days?
I saw my best friend and her two boys this afternoon, and rather than making me sad, it only made me more hopeful and determined to keep TTC. It was so good to talk, face to face, with someone about all this..especially someone who is female and has babies, so she knows to a degree what I am feeling. I have to stop obsessing.
Lisa xx
Thank you for all your well wishes! I have been floating on cloud nine all day :p
It was not the most romantic proposal but it was unique!!!! DF pulled out a ring box and said: "Put it on whichever finger it fits." So I put it on my ring finger and said It fits! Then DF said "I guess that means we are engaged" I then burst out laughing as it was all so funny and he was so nervous. It was adorable. We have not set a date yet and we are in no hurry - it is just so nice to have that additional commitment.
Mel1979 - I have to go back to work tomorrow after our little trip away and I echo your sentiments! I hope all your tests go well and you get what you need out of it.
Kezzabird - Welcome and thanks for giving us all hope.
Acria - I am holding thumbs for you :goodluck:
Polly - Sorry AF arrived. I am glad you are taking it well - maybe next month will be the month for you!:crossfingers:
Erybery - Good luck  for you.
Indy - good luck with ttc. I am excited about getting engaged and I haven't stopped grinning all day. DF is my lifeline and has been through this whole process for me. I look forward to the day I call him my husband!!!
Positive vibes to the rest of you and I hope we see many BFP's coming through. Thanks again for all you congratulations. Besides my family, you are the next people I shared this with.
Theresa xxx
:hello: to everyone
Lisa - I'm sorry your body is messing with your head. But you're not the only one who's been through it. I'm glad talking to your friend helped you today. Take care hun.
Indy - Glad you're refreshed from your break. Goodluck with the BT results. At least something is being done for you and you got on well with the FS. Then again, maybe you won't need him. AF stays away.
erybery - Yay! for AF arriving. Lets hope its her last visit for 9 months. You can get an angel by going into Edit Signature and clicking on More smilies to the right of the text box. Or just type  in your signature.
Polly - Sorry AF showed, but it seems like you've reached a really good place, emotionally. Good on you for being so positive! You're so right, there is only so much we can control. I keep reciting that prayer in my head, "God grant me the serenity etc". I hope you get your BFP next month.
Theresa - Thats definitely a unique proposal. And kinda sweet too. Congratulations again.
AFM - AF is now 4 days overdue and I got a BFN when I tested first thing this morning. But then I've been feeling queasy on and off all day today and I've had a funny feeling in my tummy the last few days, feels like butterflies. Will test again in a couple of days and if its still negative, it'll be time to visit the doctor, I think.
Hi Everyone
Just thought I would pop in & say hello while I have 5 mins to myself before Master Samuel wakes up.
I may have a reason for my fertility issues pre Sam, when Ob opened me up for the caesar he found some endometriosis. Not a huge amount but there was some there. Interesting, I'm looking forward to hearing more about it when I go for my post natal check up at the end of the month.
Hope you are all well and I  that 2009 sees this thread with no-one in it, everyone will be in PAML!!! Yay, that would be great.
Big Hugs to everyone!!!
Hi All,
Hope you had a Merry Christmas and a relaxing New Year...... 2009 is going to be an awesome year.
Congrat to the BFP's and the ladies with brand new bubs -:clap:
AFM - Yes I have been MIA for a few weeks now - on purpose. I have not even taken my temp this cycle - on purpose... I needed to take a break from it all, let the hair down, have a few drinks, eat bad, that sort of stuff.
I am having a baby this year - that's my new years resolution. So better stop drinking, eat better and get DH on the band wagon with me.
Hugs to you all
Easha
AF finally decided to show up. Maybe next month......
Hannah - I'm so sorry Af showed and 4 days late  I'm so disappointed for you :( I think AF is on it's way for me too. Maybe next month is our month :crossfingers:
Easha - I have done exactly the same for the last cycle, put my temping stuff away and decided to enjoy the festive season. I see you lost your angel at the same time as me. I  that 2009 is the year for us. I think we have been patient enough!
AJC - Hi, how is your gorgeous little boy? I am trying to decide at the moment whether to have the operation to check for endometritis. Apparently some people can have it without ever having any symptoms. Even though you have your miracle it will be nice for you to get some answers as well.
Theresa - Congratulations :happyforyou: Hopefully with a wedding to focus on you will fall pregnant in no time!
Lisa - Sorry, can't help with the B6 question. I think Jen knows a little about it. Hoping the bleeding is just an implantation bleed and you get your BFP! Glad seeing your friend made you feel better.
Polly - Sorry to hear AF showed up. You sound like you have adopted my approach although it sounds like you are doing much better at being relaxed and zen than I am! I seem to be ok but then I get to the TWW and I unravel.
Erybery - Yah for AF! Sorry can't help with the clomid question. I have read a bit about it and it seems to have a good success rate but everyone is different.
Indy - Good luck with your test results.
:hello: to everyone else.
Sorry I have kept all of you waiting.. DH went to 2 stores to get me an HPT and one of the stores didn't have any and the second store was closed. He is getting me some HPTs today.. hopefully tomorrow I will test in the AM and let all of you know the result ( for those who didn't know I got faint lines a few days ago on a $ tree HPT) Now that the Pee has dried out you can make tout the faint lines better..
I'm not hoping for anything.. but if indeed I am pregnant..despite my situation, I think it would be a miracle within itself..being that it would be the very first time I conceive without fertility meds or medical intervention. I do have some physical things going on.. but despite that I'm aware that a baby is not "smart" right now... if I am pregnant I would do anything in my reach to save the baby..maybe get that progesterone shot. I dunno.. again I don't want to jump ahead of myself.
I will let you all know tomorrow for sure!! :D I have not taken pre-natals.. should I?....just in case?...
my BBS are sore (which they haven't been since my D&C on 9/12...that and a few things going on with my areolas and all that "fun" stuff...I have a few symptoms but they have developed after I saw the 2 lines.. so it could be "all in my head"..since I'm thinking about it ya know? **sigh***..may it be what God wants. I'm leaving it up to him.
Chappas: Thank you for having me in mind. ♥ I hope all is well with you doll.

Ruthie
HannahD and Polly - We will be testing buddies as we have our AF at the same time!\
Smilanatu - So happy for you!
Ruthie - Praying for a BFP for you!
AFM - Its definetly Af, a lot heavier today so will take the clomid tomorrow night. Cramps are not as bad as usual though still have taken some meds (not that they ever work much!)
Does anyone else with PCOS have bad cramps? I always assumed my cramps were from endometriosis but I had that removed a year ago and it hasnt changed my cramping?
Ruthie - I hope you get the answer you hope for. Even if your heart says yes while your head says no. If you have conceived naturally, against all odds, then perhaps its a sign that all the rest will work itself out.
erybery & Polly - Its such a comfort that we don't have to go through this alone.
erybery - I hope the clomid works for you.
Polly - I think some of your 'zen' is rubbing off. Thanks.:)
AJC - I hope the endo gets sorted. Even though you have your baby boy, I hope you get some answers too.
smi - Thanks for the hug. Hope all goes well at your u/s next week.
jen - :noaf:
AFM - I woke up at 1am with really bad cramping and didn't get back to sleep until 4. It was a warm night and I had to try and sleep cuddling a wheat bag. Ugh! At least DH and I had some time to talk last night (we don't usually see each other during the week). My first period after m/c was quite painful, but since they've been fine. But this month, I have a constant ache in my lower back, cramps in my lower abdomen and headaches. Plus, it seems that the nausea I had yesterday is to do with AF since it hasn't gone away yet.
I'm not really disappointed that it didn't happen this month. Deep down I knew it hadn't. I'm not even angry anymore. I just ache for the baby I lost.
On a brighter note, I bought a journal today. I used to scribble all the time as a kid, but stopped when I got to uni as I was too busy. So, even though its 6 days into 2009, I have finally decided on my New Year's resolution: To get back to writing. Its the first step to taking care of me.
Big hugs to everyone.
