Trying to Conceive after Miscarriage/Loss #2- June 2009

Hope everyone is having a better day today. I'm doing a bit better, got up and went for an hour walk this morning. Got another temp drop this morning too but I'm not going to get excited about it until I see the positive OPK, might explain my crappy, over emotional mood though. Still just feel like crying at the slightest thing. I was thinking about my friend that got pregnant in the same week I did. I haven't seen here yet and I'm begining to feel I won't be able to until I'm pregnant again as it will be too hard to see here belly bump knowing I should be looking the same.

AFM: I'm feeling better today. Am hoping for RB to hit properly so it can be over and done with then I can start to TTC. I'm kind of up one minute and down the next but its ok. I'm just trying to stay positive which is hard but I have decided I kind of need to.
I'm excited about my business and new products I am adding tonight to the website as well as the fact that I just went and bought the winning lotto ticket for tonights oz lotto :)

I :pray: we all get our BFP this cycle and move onto the next phase together, it will be easier to chat with someone who is also freaking out the whole time rather than just do it all by myself (see that positive vibe I got going - its my month!!)

I am sitting here drinking Rasberry Leaf Tea with honey and watching a Pink dvd from her last concert and have to say this one just gone was definately better! She is soooo gorgeous!!

Anyway, been having this feeling really low in my abdomen, well, more like in my uterus and it feels the same as last pregnancy so Im hoping something is implanting in there :)

Of course now Ive said that it will make a liar of me and be nothing..

Im hoping that Murphy's Law will uphold for me and because I have booked the endoscopy on the 16th I will get a :bfp: and wont need it...Any ideas on what I can do to help?? Maybe Ill pack a bag...of course its only day surgery so dont really need to pack much do i?? Anyone had one done before?

I am rambling yes..was hoping to provide some comic relife to everyone whos feeling crappy. :grouphug: hope you feel better soon ladies.

I am freaking out right now becasue last night I got a :bfp: !
Up until now I had been thinking all I want is that, and now I have it I am kinda wishing I didnt test, it sounds silly but I was suspicious that I was pg, and was wondering if I should just ignore it for a few weeks then if AF turns up I can still think it wasnt an mc just my body getting back to normal...

Anyway, sorry to sound negative about something I know we are all praying for...I am partly excited but am holding back as am sooo scared of it happening again, spesh since i didnt have normal af, am convinced its too soon.

I hope you all won't mind me lurking in here for a while...i still feel like this is part of the TTC journey, its not real unless and until I at least hear a heartbeat, and even then I'll still be worried no doubt...

Hope you all get your BFPs real soon, because everyone in here deserves it and plus then we can stress together!

Im really positive about this month even though I have no idea what my cycle will do since it is already 7 days longer than normal.

Its a beautiful day after the wild weather of yesterday. I hope everyone is feeling a little better today. If not... Turn some music on loud and dance out your frustration. I find it helps a little.

My sister in law gave me all her boy baby clothes yesterday. 5 bulk nappy boxes jam packed with heaps of gorgeous stuff. Heaps of Bright Bots... Just gorgeous. She is wonderfully supportive and im very lucky to have her. She has a almost 3 year old boy and a beautiful 20 week old girl and will just be the best support when we have a baby of our own. I cant wait....

Ferals hope you are feeling a bit better today some people can be so insensitive but as delly said they dont know what we aer going through because they havent been through it and i know it just doesnt seem fair at all
Delly hope you are coping ok with DP being away, its good that you have lots of people around you to keep you company. Sounds like your facial was lovely and happy your skin is glowing :)

As i was reading over the posts from the last few days i knew exactly how we were all feeling. On monday i had a very lazy day coz i had to work nightshift. When DB came home we had dinner, went to the supermarket, came home and was making a cup of milo and i was very quiet and DB asked what was wrong and i just lost it said i was feeling really down and just started crying. Hes not very good with all the emotional stuff so didnt know what to do and just told me not to cry and that everything was going to be ok. So yesterday i had an appt at the docs and she decided that we needed to do a D&C. This was 11.30 and she said right well do it at 1.30 today go to hosi at 12.30. So in a way i think it was good coz it didnt give me a chance to think about it too much.
It actually wasnt as bad as i had thought it would be, but as usual when i woke up i was bawling and shaking which is generally what anaesthetic does to me, not nice but im ok.
Had terrible pain afterwards when in the hosi but it has gone away now and is only a dull period pain feeling. Have had hardly any bleeding over night so hopefully everything went well.
Looking forward to AF now and getting my cycle back to normal so we can start TTC againg and get that :bfp: we are all after.

Sorry if i missed anyone and hope everyone starts to feel better soon :grouphug:

Glad we all seem to be feeling a bit happier. I'm happier too but still worrying whether I'll o or not it kind of needs to be in the next 4 days if its going to happen at all. So :crossfingers: cos I don't know how I'll got if I can't even be in the TTW.

I had a lower temp today but I was awake early so i used that temp corrector thing..it gave me the temp i though i would have gotten today anyway so i just went with it and made a mental note to ignore it lol. Hoping to not start spotting tomorrow or nxt day..not getting the niggling pulling twingy things I have gotten every other month as yet so im :pray: its a good sign but not going to be bale to tell until a :bfp: arises!

Everyone else hope you're going better today! I devoted my time today to the Kitties :) I bought Coco & Max some new litter *coco gets excited* and 2 bags of food, some cat bubbles for them to chase (they dont pop and blow around when the wind picks up and coco and max had them stuck on their whiskers before hahahahahah :rofl:) and some chicken jerky treats and a new toy mouse because Max destroyed the other one, and I booked them into a really AWESOME boarding place for when we go away in August for 16 days. It cost me $500 for the 2 of them but the kennels are GREAT and big, not those little pokey ones. and they have 2 beds in them, 3 teirs and play toys and a scratching pole :) Looks like a mini house, its cool!

The cat place sounds great. My little princess goes to a lovely place too, its cats only and she has her own room and garden (they even have air conditioned palaces but I think I'll wait till she's a bit old and crotchety before I splash out that luxury on her she's spoilt enough as it is.) Like the picture, though I thought it was going to be of kittens with bubbles on their whiskers, sounds very cute.

Nothing on my OPK again so If I'm going to o looks like we are headed for another cd25 one.

i am in my fertile period (well we just do the day 10 thing onwards) so it is busy at home. dh works shift work and i work day and most nights (mortage broker) so its hard to do the every second day thing but we are doing our best. i have never bothered with temps ect. i did buy maybe baby and never used it. should i? trying to do the mucas thing.
i have a lot of bubbas around me at the moment and i just love it. it gives me hope. the precious miracle of life. thanks for everyone on this site. just sitting here reading about you all is amazing. it makes me feel so normal. i look forward to joining in on your journeys....:p

:welcome: zstar - This is a wonderful forum to be a part of. Hopefully your stay here is only short. The BFPs are coming quickly here this month so hopefully yours will be here soon too. I have a maybe baby but it doesnt always work. But give it a go. I use mine first thing in the morning and again at night and usually leave it to dry a little longer than the directions tell you too. I have found temping a great way to really know you have ovulated. Good luck on your TTC journey and i look forward to getting to know you too.

I also have never done the temps or the ovulation kits but have used the maybe baby a couple of times and dont think its very accurate. Depending on how long it takes for me to conceive though i may start the temps and all that stuff, just have to see what happens.

maddison - i have been thinking about temping for a while now. there is a lot of talk on it here. i will go and by a thermometor in the morning and give it a go. my alarm goes off in the morning and before i know it i have brushed my teeth so the maybe baby just wasn't for me. if i leave the thermo beside my alarm clock that should work. i will read up on temps tomorrow. don't know anything.
eliselouise85 - as you can see i am going to give temping a go. just feel like i should be doing something else to try and track when i am o. we are doing the business from day 10 to around day 24. i really thought i would have fallen pg the first cycle i had after m/c. i guess when it works once you think it will work again. we have just reached the year mark and i'm 34 soon and starting to get nervous. i really want to have 2 kids and don't want to be too far over 35. all those extra stats on complications do my head in!

Welcome zstar you are definately not alone, this is an amazing group of women so I hope you find the support you need here and that your stay is short.


I tried maybe baby for a while but found it pretty inaccurate, temping is definitely the easiest way to go if you get up around the same time each day. I have also just started using ovulator predictor kits which you can get pretty cheap on the net and I've found them very accurtate especailly if timing is an issue.

KM1- I hope you are begining to feel more relaxed and happy with you BFP.

hun, u are most definatly not alone, that is what i love about this thread, we all understand how each of us may be feeling, yes most of our circumstances are different, but its all very much the same, in one way or another, we have lost something that our hearts so desperatly desire.

my hubby is such a wonderful dad, he is a stong man, but this loss, broke him. I know he is just as scared as me about seeing another bfp.

Sorry i havn't had much to say lately i just am so confused and stressed but my gorgeous man took me to darling harbour for the day we walked around went to a fancy place to have lunch and then he took me to this YUMMY chocolate place that had liquid chocolate to die for we had waffles with ice cream and strawberries covered in liquid chocolate soooooooooooooo good!! it was a great day it took my mind off our situation for a while which was good.

Coco-i would like to avoid TTC until they are ready to start our ivf in oct because if we get pregnant with an effected baby we wont know until 12 weeks and that would put the ivf back till november if i fell pregnant now my DH dosn't want to use protection he just said dont do opk's or temp and we wont have sex on the days that im fertile but knowing our luck i would get pregnant and then we have to wait 12 very horrible week's when i think if we wait til oct and do the ivf with 2 healthy embryo's we have a good chance of 2 beautiful babies before the medicare rebate on ivf is changing in janurary so were not ttc just going to avoid fertile day's.

AFM I am still very nervous and if anything getting more so every day, I think because I know I am approaching the timing of my mc..and I am analysing every bodily symptom like a loony! Will definitely keep you all posted- i have made a docs appt for next wednesday (didnt want to rush- if it doesnt work out again I kinda feel like I'd rather not have seen anyone about it...had bad expereince last time with docs etc)

AFM - I'm reading the posts each day but I don't really have all that much to add. I'm about 8 DPO but my doctor didn't want me to try for a baby until I had been through one cycle so it was very frustrating to let that pass without TTC. I'm cautiously waiting AF. One of my problem is that I ovulate very late. It's why I think I lost the last baby - often a late ovulation produces a poorer quality egg. So AF should at least hold off until the weekend, possibly even a day or two longer to give me a chance at conceiving again.

Question ladies...

Is 10dpo much to early to expect a bfp with fmu using pregnow tests? they test for 10miu/hcg....

Also, I read the hcg levels chart and am only 3 weeks into my cycle today and the suggested levels are 0-5... So would that mean that my hcg will be a little lower so early in the cycle? IF I were to be pregnant? I ovulated really early this time..

Coco- I got my BFP (an extremely faint BFP) at 11dpo and laso had a blood test that day to confirm it. Im pretty sure the test I used was a prennow test, but it still may not show up. I know I had ovulated on day 14 as Id been having bloodtests to check Id ovulated for sure!

To everyone else - I was very active in this thread a few months ago and just wanted to bring you some hope. After TTC for quite awhile with NO ovulation and cycles that were 60-70 days and a missed miscarriage, Clomid became my miracle drug in Jan. After my D&C in Oct I didn't get my af back. The doc put me on the mini pill for a week to induce af so that I would shed my lining and then the clomid tabs started which made me ovulate and here I am now at 25 weeks.
I don't want my story to upset any of you but I lurk in here daily and think back to the things I used to write about how frustrated and upset I was feeling and the things you girls write mirror me!
I wish you girls all the best in your journeys and know you all deserve to be mothers and you WILL be the best mothers that are on this earth as you will never take it for granted! lots of hugs and baby dust...

I heard last night that a girl I went to school with that is now a recovered Drug addict is 6 weeks prg, and a 16 yr old at work is pregnant with dichromatic twins after miscarrying in March! It all seems unfair, but I need to realise to stop worrying and comparing myself. My mother had trouble conceiving me (her first) so im guessing im going to struggle a bit too. For someone that is just chilling it doesnt sound like it much, but I am really! :clap:

I hope everyone is having a good day. I have been walking the last 3 mornings and did an evening walk too and it is so helping to clear my head. Where i go is so gorgeous and I even get to see kangaroos if I'm early enough, magic stuff for an ex pom. I'd like to be doing it just because it's fun but after I weighed myself this morning it is now for exercise too, I have to lose some weight I've never been this heavy in my life.

sunny-I think not thinking about TTC is a great way to go. My last pg I was not temping or using OPKs and we had no even planned to try that month so it worked for me.

eryberry- so glad you dropped in. I am always glad to hear of people who have successful pgs with clomid as it may be my last resort if I can't keep o'ing regularly by myself.

coco- cd10 may well be too soon babe even for an early pg test some people don't get a bfp until very late on but keep testing I have a really good feeling about it :D :crossfingers:

sammyp- I know waiting TTC is hard I hope the time flies by and you are in the TTW before you know it. I o late too but have been less worried about it since I looked at late o pgs on ff and one lady o'ed on cd65 and still had a healthy bub. My o's seem to be later since I took clomid last year but are never before cd17 and often not till cd25.

KM1- I'm sorry you are still stressing but I totally understand. Can you find fun things to take your mind off it for a while?

ferrrals- the chocolate place sounds like my kind of heaven :p.

I am 8dpo. Feeling a little pressure in my lower back and sore bb but could just be my imagination! Its freezing cold today and i cant wait to finish work, go home and snuggle up in front of the tv with my dh.

Hello Maddison, Sunny, TinaR, Maddsion, Sunbeam, Anila, Sammy, and anyone else I missed.

AFM - still in the 2WW for my 2WW (just sitting around waiting for my green days, now just a few days away), so much waiting in TTC. I have a dr appointment in 2 weeks, so hopefully Murphey's law means I'll already be UTD for the appt (well, I'll be a few days - a week post ov anyway).
A friend of mine (in her early 40s, just a few years older than me) has announced she will be a grandmother - an here's me still not even a mother yet. elise-my first af after my d&c was day 48 but I know others have got back on track quicker than that. Glad you are feeling better and pain has gone. I was really dizzy for a week after mine due to the anasthetic.

erybery- if you are still here can you tell me what day clomid made you o on? I'm wondering if I should take it even if I am o'ing to make me o earlier so my eggs are fresher (assuming I don't get BFP this cycle).

The late o pregnancies I mentioned before were not on ff but at ovusoft.com and one lady on there managed pg with an o on cd75!!! there's hope for me yet :lol:

AFM - ok, here goes. you might have to concentrate when you read this cause i have to really concentrate to type this: So as you know had the positive opk on sunday, which for me normally means the I will o in two days. We dtd twice on the sunday and then again on tuesday (dh was just so exhausted on monday night i just couldn't do it to him as much i think we should've. he works really long hours and is under a lot of stress at work atm)..anyways...i never really got the huge temp surge that i normally get after a positive opk. in fact looking back over my temps, and looking only at that, i o'd on saturday!?! also on sunday and monday my cm went rather watery and way tmi..but rather stinky..which i never get and was enough to prompt me to the dr for a swab checking for infection which turned out to be negative. temp is still rising so i can't really make sense of what the hell is going on. tues, wed cm was kind of back to ewcm and today is seeming similar. what the hell is going on?!?!?!??!!?

simple summary and question. what would you make of a positive opk after ovulation? (had been testing daily and all leading up to that were negative, even during the big temp dip and rise that suggests saturday was o day)

as the confusion is on a high, we dtd friday, saturday, sunday (x2), tuesday and wednesday, so i hope that was enough. although deep down i think that the monday we missed might have to had been the one.

can anyone make any sense of my ramblings?? any type of understanding/interpretation would me muchas appreciated.
