MIss K - absolutely about the Vitamin A - ok as beta carotene - ie like you find in carrots, but not good in supplements. Some peoeple also worry about Vit A in skin care products -where its called retinol. Vit A is not good for TCC or when you are UTD.
Jelly - I am with Innanna and Bons - my preferred brand is First Response. I think they do a POAS but I just get the old fashioned dippers, economical and reliable.
Thopes - I have never heard of the egg white lube! I am fightened of raw eggs, so I don't think I could use this method.
Jelly - nosebleeds are not nice! I had my first yesterday too. Whilst they are common in pg they are also more prevalent in winter - when your nasal passages dry out and the blood vessels on the surface more fragile.
Murray - I hear you. So does my GF she has a horde of little ones in her family and she and her DH are basically marginalised. They took the option of not getting adults presents but they get the littles pressies.
Mathews Mum - big hugs sweetie. Believe..... or at least I will for you. Come on little embie.... come into the love.

Well i am on day 10 and my LH is surgeing i had a peak reading on my CBFM and the E2 line is so faint and the LH line is dark so that means i am going to O in the next 36 hours so that is early compared to last month i was on day 16 gee i am glad i brought the CBFM because there is no way to miss the fertile window i have O'd on days 13,16 and now day 11 anyway i am off to work wont be home until midnight then have to molest DH so i will catch up tomorrrow.

Afternoon ladies :)
Well, I'm 17dpo today, the same stage I was at last cycle before I started bleeding in the early hours of the morning of 18dpo.
I've been feeling really queasy, dry retched quite a bit, threw up twice, found out I have a mild throat and ear infection, but the flu is clearing up quickly since I've been on antibiotics, which is a good thing. Just need all the gunk in my throat to go away now lol
I've been getting stinging and stabbing pains and aches in my left side - around the area of my left ovary/tube I believe. My mind keeps on going to worst case scenario when the pains start happening... I keep on thinking ectopic :( But, on the up side, I'm pretty sure (as sure as a very hazy memory can be anyway) that I had the same pains on the same side with DS in the week/2weeks after our BFP with him.
Anyway, tested this morning with Confirm and it was BFN (I used the 2nd MU, as FMU happened sometime between 5:30am and 7am when I was still half asleep).
Just did another test with First Response Dip Stick and I think I can see the faintest of faint lines but really not sure.
Will test again in 2 days if I still haven't started bleeding, have 2 First Response tests left.
Don't have time to do many persies, so here's a few:

T-hope: Yup, knob burn is an occupational hazard when TTC. There really should be a leaflet or something, it could mention vjay jay chafing, special pillows for putting your butt up in the air (ooooh! there should be a long handled pincher thingy for picking up your mobile, i don't know about you guys but my mobile always rang and it's really hard to scooch over to your ph while keeping your hips elevated), a section about how general household items may never look the same again (eg, eggs, and that cup I used one time when i accidentally threw out the special one that came with the dipper preg test :redface:) and some magic way of condensing the 6 tablets I have to take every morning into 1, that would be good (I'm sure ivf peeps have a lot more to add to that one!) And something that would stop other ppl asking any stupid or inconvenient questions.
Well I got carried away, lol.

Murraycod: Yeah, my bro is the only one in our fam to have kids so far, so they have plenty of expectations about presents for the kids, but don't seem to remember anyone else's birthday. My sister and I have promised each other to still remember that adults exist when we have kids. I have my 27th birthday coming up in a few weeks, so I'm doing the whole pensive life evaluation thingy, sometimes I feel like 27 is just a little'un and sometimes I think I should buy a walking stick while I can still make it to the shops. Hopefully you'll have your bubba by 31, one year out aint so bad :)
AFM: I feel good. I'm glad AF has left the building, and I'm hoping I get some kick ass EWCM this cycle. Had my lil alco and cheese moment, so at least I feel like I'm doing some justice to not being preg. I have a close friend who's in her 2nd month TTC, and we were having a big chat and I told her that I'd be nervous for her too when she gets preg, just cos of my experiences, she basically said not to worry, cos she can handle a m/c :o Which I'm gonna take with a grain of salt, cos she has no idea. Although at the the time I had a fleeting impulse to throw wine in her face and go ''Can you handle that!"
Our experiences in TTC are worlds apart, and I wouldn't want her to find out about this side of it, but...nyergh...she says some ridiculous things! Did some calculations and realised I'm gonna be testing on my b'day. Not sure how I feel about that. My goal for this month is to not go psychotic. Otherwise DH may be posting here again!

I have a big family as you know but apart from my lot no-one else remembers the kids bdays my little one was 6 on sunday and only got the gifts we got for her and 4 cards all from our own family ie live at home ! so I feel sad they don't get remembered by their aunties and uncles and grandparents but I try to make it up to them the best I can, so I guess it works both ways hey ! I was up till midnight sat making a cake and soft elephant toy so she had something real special from me !
Jelly test again with first response or clear blue anything else is a waste of time ! make sure you not drank for at least 2 hrs before and emptied your bladder 2hrs ago too !

Matthews mum I have bad dreams too last night with my yellow booties under my pillow I dream't I made a baby but then this morning I realized it was probs just wishfull thinking ! but you are just subconsiously getting ready for the disappointment of a BFN when in reality you know nothing yet ! try not to think too much it makes us worse at times it does me anyways ! Your little emby is just getting burrowed in ready for the long ride I am sure of it so be patient ! hopefully I will be right behind you !

No time for other persies but can't HELP but say something about the eggwhites for T-Hope! If you go to [url=www.lullabyconceptions.com[/url] they have a lubricant called um, Pre-Seed, or something weird, that's supposed to assist spermies on their swim. Not as cheap as egg whites, granted, but perhaps a little less icky?
And how do you differentiate between the egg whites and your EWCM? I guess "Who wants eggs for breakfast?" has a very different meaning in your house now!! hahahah Also, what does your DH think about all of this??? I think my DH would have me committed if I suggested using eggwhites. ;-)
AFM: Still no AF, another BT on Friday - I've got sore boobs & nausea but still feel afraid that this isn't real!

Hi Ladies, just wanted to say that i am unsubscribing to this thread. My DH has said that he really doesnt want another baby. Ofcourse i am hoping that i may be able to change his mind but i have a feeling its going to stay a no. I am totally devistated and have so many emotions about having the ectopic coming home to roost now at the thought that i wont have another chance. Reading this thread and getting the updates emailed to me are just too hard at the moment. I really really hope that you all get your BFP. It would be lovely to know that all you lovely ladies were getting that chance.

I don't really know where to write this but DH told me he has this very strong feeling our DD will be his only child and he is a real mess over it. Maybe this belongs in the LTTTC thread more so. This really freaks me out as strong feelings for me usually come true (like from the moment I concieved with my last pregnancy I thought it was ectopic and know one believed me but it was) I have a feeling he has given up and is grieving. I know he has given up and has said just book in for IVF (when I was going to 2momnths ago he said he wasn't ready) but now he said go for it but he knows its not going to work. Grrr so numb right now.

Ferrals, my FS rang thisafternoon, I am getting my surge too, they got the blood results from yesterdays hormone checks. Sounds like we will be beating it out together again this month!
All of the bloods I had done last week, I have not heard any results so far, can take a while aparently, some were frozen, not sure for what, but I guess the immunology testing can get pretty detailed.
The bloods I had done testerday were to check Prog, Oest and LH, I have to have those same bloods done again tomorrow morning, to make sure the levels are rising and dropping apropriately, so we can time this Endometrium biopsy, which will be 10 days after 'O'.
I don't have the highest of pain thresholds when it comes to procedures like this, am terrified, even though I requested the tests!! All for a good cause though, roll on May woot woot!!!!!

Tested as soon as i got home cos i just couldn't wait... Used the first response ones like you said... BFN for me :( Well I am so confused... I think its over for this cycle now... although cos AF was messed up and came a week early am i to believe that day 1 of my cycle was back last week? when i had my so called "implantation" oh god im so confused. Had a crap day at work too! I was ready to cry! :(

Honey, :hug: oh dear, please have hope.
Darling I know how helpless you felt when DH told you he didn't want to have another try at IVF.
But take this chance head on, and with hope, with your damaged tubes, there is very little hope of things happening naturally, and yet you could still hope.
The chances of a pregnancy using IVF are much higher, so there is so much more chance that it can work.
Men are funny how they respond to these sort of delicate situations, yours has gotten over his frustration obviously, and is feeling more anguish now.
Go give him a big hugg, and reassure him that you are both strong enough to go this head on again.

Hope you ar all going well. We managed to see a little heartbeat yesterday. I had a little cry and it is still sinking in. Slowly adjusting to the thought that there might actually be a baby at the end of this.
For avid bejayjay news followers, my cervix looked SO hot.
Was thinking of you Kit, and wanted to put my name down for the Pram of Justice, when a heavily pregnant woman told me that her latest paranoia was that the baby would be born on April Fool's Day. Seriously? WTF woman?

Mildez- I agree with Matthew's mum, it sounds like a defence mechanism, he's probably just trying to protect himself. Don't give up hope, its hard keep your chin up especially when your loved one is feeling down but you still have as good a chance as anyone with ivf, you will get there in the end xx
Audax-I have worked with pregnant women and new mums for a long time and I have heard everything, I think people lose perspective, esp if its been an easy ride for them but its still :wall: Hey- good for you to hear that heartbeat, must have been thrilling xx

as for the egg's..... well we gave it a crack! (hehe get it!?) it was a little messy but so hilarious! cant believe DH managed to seal the deal with all the laughing we were doing! so i guess this shows how desperate i am! :shhh: even DH barely battered an eyelid when i suggested but he certainly chuckled!! and no... i will never be able to look at an egg the same way...hehehhehhe!

Mathewsmum-are you sure it's blood and not a pink colour because the crinone pesseries can do that i had pink cm while i was on them and FS said totally normal.
You girls are a crack up that's what i like about this thread we can be so down in the dumps one day and then talking about the funniest things the next.
Crafty-i think maybe the CBFM isn't picking up your hormone levels as they could be a bit low but that doesn't mean you wont O it's ashame because it doe's make it so much more accurate just keep using your other signs and BD every other day.
I had a little issue with a dud test stick this morning the two lines were so faint you could hardly see them the E2 line is reallllllly faint but the LH line should be dark or darker than yesterday but it didnt show up at all and i had already pressed the button so i had to use that stick i didnt have time to do another but i had a big temp drop this morning so i will O tonight or tomorrow anyway i will do another wee stick this arvo to be sure that this mornings stick was a dud.
Tegam-sorry to hear you have to leave but i understand that ttc can be very stressful all the best for the future.
Murrycod-cool we are surging together you wont be BDing though because of the upcomming biopsy will you? what a bummer we could have been poas together never mind i don't think i will get utd this month so i will hang out for May and we can fall pregnant together and our babies will be march babies the same month we lost our little ones so maybe that can bring something positive to a month that we associate with heartache.

hi everyone, spoke to the nurses,they said it could be an implantation bleed(i thought of that,but thought those sorts of bleeds were discoloured)asked about the other symptoms fading,she doesn't think that it was the progesterone suppplements(probably other hormones playing havoc)& if it was the progesterone, symptoms with that can come & go depending on other hormones.

AFM - finally got in to see the Chinese Medicine doctor/acupuncturist yesterday. She was fantastic but my head is spinning from the conversation we had. Too much to go through now but basically I'm on the strict diet again (no dairy, no coffee, no alcohol, no sugar, no wheat and it goes on). I've done it before and have kept to it in some form for a while now - don't drink coffee and very little alcohol and not much wheat but oh well, if it helps our next go. She said a lot of v. interesting stuff re. my remaining blocked tube being the main reason I can't fall pg or carry a pg. I'd be happy to share with anyone here who has lost a tube no to ectopic but for other reasons like endo. She has confirmed some deep down suspicions I've had for a while regarding my general hormonal health so looking forward to working with her. I asked her outright if she thought I should just give up and she said "hell no, you're not old in my books" so that has bolstered my spirits somewhat.

Well I did another test this morning. BFN for me. I'm giving up for this cycle. and i guess because AF came like a week early I'm on CD9 Instead. Confused now.

ferrals - does the temp dip mean im about to o??? It dipped to 35.9 yesterday and 36.10 today?? its notmally about 36.30.

Alice-we were put on that diet to detox i was told it is standard for anyone ttc as we don't seem to have any real problems other than carrying a bad gene we gave up on the diet it was making us miserable and cranky so decided to limit things like we only have 1 coffee a day no other form of caffine and just try to be healthy in our choices we are taking all the chinese herbs to help boost our fertility so we will see if it helps.

Im so sorry to forget ppl, but there is so many of us and my brain is forgetting so much at the moment, but im am thinking of you all!
AFM - Still no Af, will buy a test tomorrow i think and test on friday morning if AF still hasnt turned up, feeling a bit light headed, but nothing else, no bloating, no cramping, no sore boobs, Im a bit short tempered but that could be from a number of things!
Im going to go and kick furbaby outside before her farts make me vomit!

AF has arrived, the letdown won't stop me, I will be back for a scan (yes while I have AF)
I hate it, but it's clinic policy. And will start stims again probably Friday.
