Jen - how are you feeling today? I hope you are right and sitting this month out is what we need... I wouldn't mind having a March baby - so hopefully next month will be it for us since I have been so good and patient.. well, sort of
Angels - lol. I think you might have a good idea about checking in sooner between posts. That lot was probably much easier - and you almost had enough smilieys too I hope you are going well!
plc -
smi - haha - my DH would kill me if I woke him up - he loves his sleep lmao
coco - i hope you catch that eggie. good luck. and yay for you for not having any probs at O time - thats awesome!
ferrals - argh, seems like you have a lot going on atm.. I hope you are able to find a new place soon and DS's surgery goes well.
sally - there is nothing wrong with you being right i couldn't help but giggle when i read that because that sounds like me. I'm never wrong, only misinformed sometimes hehe
Greenslw - I hope you are going well.
and me - well, 10 vials of blood later for this mornings blood tests. Oh well, the things we have to do. DH had 6 taken this morning, which was way better then the one he got last time :P He also had a doctors appointment and the dr has requested some additional bloods for testosterone - he also got the full check up down there too and all is good.
Erbery: Big hugs darling woman.. EDD's are difficult times - it just is bloody hard. Nothing will take that away. Knowing that there are others who truly understand can really help to unpack it in a safe place - and I hope soon this thread will return to a place of safety for that...
How you deal with your due date will be a very personal thing - for me it wasn't the actual day - as baby's are rarely born on their due date. It was around that time for a few weeks that I really felt fragile. For my 2 daughters and my son who were born in the second trimester they have a rose bush each. The Universe works in mysterious ways - and each year on the day they were born and died those roses have been unfailingly in bloom.. I am not of Christian faith but I am very spiritual & I believe that the Universe is showing me just a little glimpse of their beautiful souls...
I never think why me - for the answer to that is why not? Sad, tragic things happen every day and I am not so special that they don't happen to me. What I do know though is that all that we are faced with is not an accident. There is a message in all that crosses our paths. Each of my babies (more so for me personally, my late loss babies) taught me something valuable. They also grew my heart bigger. Through the tragedy and sadness I can see that there is a light side too. For in this world there is always yin and yang, dark and light. Right in the moment of loss and for the time soon after - the lessons are not apparent - but when we look with open full hearts - there is something golden that our babies have left for us imprinted in our hearts... It just takes time... I pray gorgeous woman that soon you will see a little glimmer of a rainbow - soon... I remember never thinking it would come but it did for me eventually.
Something I have done is decorated a Christmas bauble just for my Angels - I hav done this around due dates - it felt constructive. I am blessed to have beautiful Women in my life that made small quilts for each of my 3 late loss babies - these are mounted on the wall of Imogen's nursery - those Angels watch over her - of that I am certain... Maybe something like that if you are crafty?
MY road to holding a live baby in my arms was so so so long - and so very very painful. For the longest time looking at those rose bushes made me sob - but now they make me smile. I open the box that I have stored inside me and let the sadness out sometimes - especially on Angelversaries - but mostly I give thanks for the light that they did bring that was very hard to find...
Part of the light was the miracle of Immy - even though it was harrowing (Imogen was born at 28 weeks and I was in hosptial for 5 weeks after her birth and 2 weeks prior - that's another story!). For me another part of the light was learning to really trust myself and trust the Universe. That was truly big.
Would I give it all back - well that is the unanswerable question - for really I can't go back I could only go forward. For me I decided that I wasn't going to allow them to die in vain. That I was going to make it count for something. But it is hard some days I felt I couldnt get out of bed. But I pledged that I would - that I would make it through.
Blessings and love to you Erbery - can you tell me your baby's due date and I will light my Kuan Yin candle as I do for all angels on their special days. I wish I could hug you in person - but I am sending it through the ether... Thinking of you Mama Erbery...
I'm back! Sorry that took so long--DS and I ended up at the animal shelter adopting a new cat! His 'Cooper' disappeared a few weeks ago, and was already a replacement for another Cooper that disappeared. So.... it's a girl! lol... She's orange and white, and her name is Sunny.... or Chloe, DS can't seem to decide! She's about a year old, but DS likes the fact that he helped save a cat from the shelter!
ferrals--Sorry to hear that DS has to have another ear op! I hope that this will be the last, and it helps with his hearing! It sounds as though you've got a lot of stress at the moment, with DS, having to move, pack up the nursery... Sounds like you could use a couple and those jacks with coke! No apologies for alcohol induced double posts! ROFL
Angel--A few threads back the same thing happened with my computer! I would have to enter in the most odd-ball things--and I would think WTF? I thought it was only me--people kept laughing at my computer antics, but I couldn't figure out why all of a sudden I was having to enter in a code just to leave a post! I think in your case it was due to the amount of posts, or lack thereof....but I don't know why it happened to me! Oh, and I also couldn't post in colors, or use my smilies--that was the same time that the photo gallery disappeared, and it's still gone! Lucky for me I at least got my colors and smilies back... still looking for that photo gallery... is anyone else still missing theirs up at the top of the page? Poor boble still has her eyes closed in anticipation... how long are you going to keep her in suspense? LOL
sally-- 9 nights straight! Way to "take one for the team"! Don't tell my DF--he'll want me to take one for the team, too! LMAO I was expecting to see your coverline today, but when I wrote this you were still asleep, and now if I go back and check your chart, I'll lose my post! So hopefully it's there! lol...
Mannie--Was that pun intended with your "go with the flow" statement?
smallfryplus--I bled for 7 days after my m/c, then had a 25 day cycle, which is pretty short for me. I ended up taking extra vitamin B6 to help lengthen my LP, and now my usual cycle is 27 days. Unfortunately, everyone is different... some women go right back to their previous cycles, where others take months to regulate. On the subject of catching DH's interest at O time, or "keeping things interesting" I've discovered that watching a kinky movie is a great way to get him interested and ensure a grand finale! lol...
Shortcake--Sorry to hear about your trip to the ER! So glad to hear you're home recovering and taking it easy--you better not be unpacking, missy!
sunny--Sounds like you've been a busy bee! Hope your TWW flies by!
smi--You TAKE it from Lee, girl! Well...apparently you took it! I actually remember when you told us about that! That brings the whole "taking on for the team" a whole new meaning!
Greenslw--Good luck losing those comfort kg's! Hopefully after next week's FET, you'll just gain it all back--in all the right places!
megsmum-- for my fishy friend! Thinking of you always and sending lots of bellyrubs your way!
tutmae--I'll never forget that "annovulatory" cycle of yours! Big *hugs* for you and Charlie!
erybery--I'm sorry to hear that your angel's EDD is approaching. *hugs* I know that, for me, the lead-up was worse than the actual day... I bought a candle that I kept lit for the whole day in memory of my angel, and we also planted a pink hibiscus in our garden out front. I'm sure it's easier said than done, but try not to stress too much about it--it's all about remembering and honoring your angel, while you nurture that little fighter you've been blessed with! Whatever you decide will be special!
milly--Your welcome for the link! I personally think temping/charting is a great insight to what's going on with your cycle. I didn't start out temping, tho... I began charting my CM & CP, but it just wasn't an accurate way for me to judge what was going on with my cycle. So then began my addiction--noooo, I mean my dedication--to temping. lol... I have also used OPK's, which worked well for me. They're all valuable tools, but by far, the temping is the most helpful in my case. As long as you get 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep, there shouldn't be any reason why the BBT wouldn't work with your shift work. Good luck, hon, whatever you decide. Just ask if you have any other questions--you're sure to get several different perspectives, which can be helpful in making a decision that works best for you.
Jen you are a machine at posting. Seriously well done you'll need some food after all that energy out...
VERY Hormonal today, everyone is ****ting me Brother doesn't have money for joint mothers day gift for our mum, Partner is going to the other side of the state on Friday after our FET and doesn't see anything wrong with it. Grrrrrr if they only thought like us for one moment, how nice it would be to just spend the day together. He hasn't been at any transfers because of work and now he has a day off he's busy.... AHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HH
Mum is a pain in the but always with the can you can you can you......... My sister inlaw is just a Suger Honey Ice Tea, and so annoying.......
But the boys (my two nephews are great) 'breath' think happy pink bubbles............
Guess who arrived!!!!! RB........ so i was either never ( as this is quite early for my AF my cycle should be 31 days ) or I have another angel ....I will never know.
Today has just been #$@! I have had to deal with men that all they want to do is ***** and try to rally up a army of troops through direct insults at others and then I had another hang up on me....He does this everytime he rings and I am just about to Crack with him. I never raise my voice at him yet he insults me by calling names and then just talks over anything i try to say and then he just hangs up gggrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
The tonight we had my sons first union game and one of the mums had her 5 week old son there. SHe is really nice and asked if I wanted a hold and I declined she kept insisting and again I said no... he was hungry and she was trying to draw the feed time out so she was trying to palm him off so he wouldn't smell here...I understood. I sort of palmed him off to another mum. I don't wnat to tell her about our angel . I am very proud of myself though as after having such a crap day and then the offer of a baby the afternoon I got RB and I didn't publicly cry.
Anyhow I am back again cycle buddies!!!! Back in the game for a possible February baby the month that it all fell apart for me and DH, and the anniversary month of when our beloved babt grew wings at 12 weeks and the month of the anniversary of the death of my previous partner and father of my children...I HATE FEBRUARY!!!!!!!.I HATE RB !!!!!!
Actually I just went into FF and pre calculated my due date and I would be due on the 5th of Feb but would go 2 - 4 weeks early so I guess i can handle that sob sob I just don't and can't handle anything else bad happening in February... Gee why do I do this to myself .
