babymiracles - I'm so very happy to hear your scan went well! :hooray: (love that emoticon LOL) I hope the spotting has stopped and that you can relax a little now. Jen is right, what a great early b'day pressie, now I'm hoping for a nice one next Mon when I go to see the ob ;)
smi - you sound a bit down, hope things pick up for you soon!
Jen - What are you doing on here?? Go get busy girl LOL Hope that cold has gone away for you!
mollycat - Hi there, good to see you :)
kazaraz - Hi and welcome! 7 weeks sounds like an awfully long time to wait for AF to me too, I had a D&C and still only waited 6. I would definitely be getting HCG levels checked before going on any meds, at the very least to set your mind at rest. I had no problems conceiving the first time around either, so certainly it is possible to have problems subsequently, but hoping that is not the case for you. Good luck on Fri, hope you find some answers.
HannahD - Yay for time off work! Hope you have a great time - have you organised that day at the spa yet?
Mel - Glad to hear you are healing nicely and yay for being good to go again! As far as BDing frequency goes, can't really help you out with what we did this time around LOL, but DD was conceived naturally (and easily, but that's another story) and we BDed every night for about a week. I'm guessing a bit here because I never kept track and its 5 years ago now LOL but we started about day 10 or so. HTH and good luck!
fifi - Glad to hear things are going well! Hope the sleeping improves for you soon, it won't get any better when the baby arrives so take what you can get now!
boble and mrzbaby -
Abbey B - Good luck for this month!
Shortcake - Thanks for the get well wishes :) Am finally feeling a bit better today yay!
Hi to anyone else that I have missed :grouphug:
AFM - Not going too bad now this cold has gone away, haven't been around too much over the last few days because I was feeling so cr@ppy. Anyway, my MS seems to have finally gone away too this week (or maybe I just didn't notice it because of the cold LOL) because I haven't felt sick since Sunday just gone now. Have my next ob appt on Mon though, so am starting to stress out a little, will be glad when it is over and just  everything is OK.
-
megsmum - i think 7 weeks is a long time 2 wait as well ... when i had my bloods done after the miscarriage my hcg had dropped to 6 and then when i had it taken last sunday she said there was no evidence of pregnancy, but also didnt tell me what the reading was. maybe if i rang they could tell me?
when i read all of your posts, i see no one is having an easy time of it. its hard not to let it consume your life and i feel a bit like this is the stage i am at. trying to look at the positives in my life, but since losing the baby in dec i just think its makes me want another even more.
thanks for your thoughts girls x
-
kazaraz - Definitely give them a ring, there is no reason why they should not tell you - it is your body after all! Maybe it might be worth asking for a repeat test when you have your scan on Fri?
Are you seeing an FS at all? This is just my personal opinion based on my experiences, but I think that an FS is the best person to diagnose polycystic ovaries or ovulation problems and also to prescribe ovulation induction. They will also track your cycle - I have done both monitored and unmonitored OI cycles, and really do believe that monitoring (BT and scans) is the way to go so you know exactly what is going on in there and also so you can time BDing too. The other thing that an FS can do is have your natural cycle tracked so they can work out for sure that you need ovulation induction - if all you have is a CD21 prog the result can be influenced by early or late ovulation and can make you think that you are not ovulating when in fact you are KWIM?
You are so right about it consuming your life though, it is difficult not to let it and especially so I think when you have had a loss. I don't necessarily think that is is wrong to feel this way, m/c is such a traumatic event to go through and it has all kinds of effects on your life in so many ways  Take care of yourself is probably the best advice I can offer.
Anyway, hope all of this helps a bit - feel free to ignore any bits that don't! :D
-
No its all helpful Meg, I think my main problem is all of the abbreviations! I dont know what people are talking about half the time. Haha, I need a cheat sheet!
-
Oops sorry
There is a thread here somewhere listing all the abbreviations, sorry don't know where, maybe one of the other girls can point you to it?
FS - fertility specialist
BT - blood test
CD21 prog - day 21 progesterone
KWIM - know what I mean
OI - ovulation induction
BD - baby dance, getting jiggy with it, making love etc, etc
That should cover all the abbreviations in my last post ;)
-
Thanks heaps ... I will get there! I only just found out what UTD means? Talk about behind the times!
-
kazaraz - I'm so sorry for your loss. I agree that 7 weeks seems a long time to wait for AF since you didn't have a D&C. I don't really have any advice to offer and I think megsmum has pretty much covered it. Goodluck with your scan on Friday. I hope you get some answers. Oh and there is a thread on common forum jargon in forum help. Here's the link:
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...-acronyms.html
jen - Goodluck for the upcoming BD marathon. I'm  you catch that egg. This month just has to be your month. :pink-babydust:
smi - Sorry you've been feeling down. Sending a big  your way. Take care of yourself.
mollycat - :hello: stranger! Have fun wedding shopping this weekend.
megsmum - Glad you're feeling better. I can't wait to hear all the good news after your scan on Monday. :goodluck:
Big hello and :grouphug: to all the other ladies.
-
HannahD - Hope you are feeling good and have a great two weeks off. You deserve it. Make sure you get some of that pampering done!
Megsmum - Glad to hear you are over the cold and the m/s. Good luck with your OB appt & scan on Monday.
Kazaraz - :welcome: - I don't think we have met, but be assured you will find the best people on this forum who totally understand what you are going through. I am not sure about the length of time AF returned, everyone seems to have a different answer, I had a D & C and mine returned after about three weeks.
Boble - GL with testing on the weekend. Hope you get that BFP.
Babymiracles - I am so happy the scan went well. I hope this pregnancy goes smoothly for you.
Jen - Hope you caught the egg.
Mel - Glad that you are feeling better and are ready to start afresh with the TTC journey. Hope it is a short journey for you and you get your BFP soon!
Fifi - Hope you can get a good nights sleep soon.
Abbey - We haven't met yet so hi. GL this month ;)
To all the girls I have missed - :bluedust: & :stickyvibesgirl:
AFM - Wish me luck girls, still no sign of AF and tested again yesterday morning and got two lines again with the second line darker than Monday's. Will test again tomorrow to, but I am pretty sure we have got ourselves a BFP. I am am feeling calm and happy but also want to take things day by day this time. I am happy but anxious too.
-
HannahD - I forgot to mention in my last post that I was so sad to read you didn't like yourself very much :( From where I am sitting there doesn't seem much not to like. Here you are going through a tough time, suffering depression and you are on this thread everyday supporting all of us. Only a fantastic, caring person would do that. I do know what you mean though, sometimes you can get so caught up in trying to make everyone else happy you can forget about yourself. You do deserve to pamper yourself, sounds like you have a great DH who looks after you. Have a wonderful break from work and remember to take time out for you
Polly - Oooh, how wonderful! Wishing you all the luck in the world! Good luck for testing tomorrow but it sounds like a BFP to me! :D
Kazaraz - Sorry for your loss. I can't help with how long it takes for the return of AF as I didn't have a D&C but it looks like you are getting some great advice from the girls here. I hope AF returns soon so you can start TTC again. Goodluck!
Megsmum - Thanks for the advice :) Glad your m/s is over, good luck for your ob apt on Monday, I'm sure everything will be fine. :stickyvibesgirl:
Mollycat - Hi! Have fun shopping!
Smi - Sorry to hear you are feeling down. Hope you start to cheer up soon :)
Jen - Thanks for the info - looks like we are cycle buddies! Have fun ;)

just.. so upset
today I am having a bad day. An old work colleague told me a couple of weeks ago that she was preg... 12 weeks at the time - and oddly enough it seems we would have been due smack bang together. anyway, this is itself has upset me and I have tried so hard not to let it get to me because i don't want to be that person iykwim... but over the last couple of days it has been playing on my mind.. they weren't even ttc.. they are/were planning on getting married in Oct this year.. and it just isn't "fair"... other friends who are preg I could justify - they had been ttc for 12 months each so they totally deserved it. but this one, just... I feel like i deserved it more then her (oh my god, I can't believe I just admitted to that! Its so hard to put out there that it is how I am feeling  ) and now - omg, even more so! she has just posted up on facebook in her status update "is starting to get a baby belly :( " something to be sad about???? what is wrong with her! Its ALL I want.. i WANT to be preg.. I WANT to make it to the point where I am getting a baby belly... I WANT to carry a baby to full term and have it be happy and healthy... I WANT WANT WANT a baby sooo soooo bad and she seems to only have bad things to say about the whole thing. even when she told me about it she made it sound like a bad thing.. nothing about being happy or over the moon or anything like that.. just "its scary"
i so sorry to rant.. I just needed to get it out. No personals tonight as I don't think I can offer any sort of good advice :(
-
Polly - Sounds like a BFP to me too! Goodluck tomorrow anyway. I'm  its a sticky one. :stickyvibesboy:
Mel - Aww...thanks so much for your kind words. I'm following jen's example in trying to help other people if I can. Even though I find it hard to do nice things for myself, I still feel like my depression is making me very selfish. Maybe if I stop being selfish, there will be something to like about me and then I'll be able to take care of myself. Does that make sense? By the way, get ready for truck loads of :pink-babydust: :bluedust: coming your way. I hope you catch that eggie!
boble - Big huge :comfort: coming your way. I'm sorry your friend seems so unaware of this great event in her life. I'm sure she will realise it one day. Once she looks into her baby's eyes for the first time, I'm sure she will wonder that she was ever less than happy about it. We're the unfortunate, but also fortunate in a way, who know how special and fragile is the life that can grow inside us. For some people, its only when they struggle to get what they want or have it taken away that they realise how much they want it.
In the meantime, if you find it hard to deal with your friend, maybe you should have a quiet word to her about how you feel. I'm so sorry you're having a hard time. We are all here whenever you need to vent or cry or scream.

mollycat--Will miss you in chat if you don't make it Fri. night, but I'll try to catch you earlier in the day so I don't miss you so much! Hope you have fun shopping for the wedding with your SIL-to-be! Wow, I just did the conversion on your weight loss.... around 27 lbs!!! That's freakin' fantastic! Well done, it's NOT easy!
megsmum--Your b-day pressie is going to be just as great on Monday! Hope you're going to do something fun (other than your appt!) for your day, my fellow fishie friend! Glad to hear you're feeling better, and I hope the m/s stays away for good!
kazaraz--Good luck with your scan today! Hey, good for you... it took me months to figure out what UTD meant!! My fist thought was "unable to decide", but it just didn't fit in with the conversations that way!
Polly--Congrats again on your BFP!! :stickyvibesgirl:
Mel--Hey--Woo Hoo for being cycle buds! :hooray:
boble--Big  Though it hasn't waned much, I suppose it has somewhat since it's been almost a year now, but I so remember that desire... almost like a hunger... to be pg again. It's very common to feel what you're feeling--don't feel bad for putting words to your thoughts.... we've all been there.
Hannah--Oh, honey, Mel's right... there's nothing selfish about you from where I sit! You're here everyday, encouraging and supporting everyone else--and you've always been--you didn't learn it from me! You just need to see yourself the way other people see you--you're smart, strong, supportive, caring, compassionate, empathetic--all the important things that matter, you ARE!!! Don't ever forget it! I'll be here everyday to remind you! Don't make me post in all CAPS to get it thru to you! :nahnah:

Polly - :happyforyou: Congratulations honey. Wishing you a H&H 9 months. :stickyvibesboy: :stickyvibesgirl: And you better not go anywhere. I want updates. lol
-
Polly-- :hooray: Huge Congrats on your confirmed BFP! :cheer: I'm so happy for you, and wish you a sticky 9 mo's!! :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy:
:hello: Hannah!! I like the way your DH thinks!! I'm glad you have him--now you just have to listen to him!!!

kazaraz - I know that after a m/c it can take your body quite some time to get back into the swing of things but 7 weeks is a fair amount of time. Seeing that the HCG wasn't rising I would be inclined to go with what the Dr said. It could be that the twins are sore because you are due for AF. If you think you are infact UTD again then seek the advice of a different Dr and get some other bloods done a week or so can make all the difference to the outcome. ;)
AFM - I think as women we can get so swept up in TTC that it can easily take control of our lives. I am trying to let it go and just get on with living rather than obsessing over O tests, when I DTD, how many DPO I am. I still want a baby but clearly for me this is not the right time so I am focussing on other things and IF I fall pregnant in the mean time .... then I will become all obessed again :lol:

Hi all,
Hope you don't mind if I join you all. We are ttc our second child and aren't travelling too well atm. Has a miscarriage Dec 08 and I am still spotting. I'll give you the run down....
My cycles are all over the shop ranging from 30 days to 74 days (go figure) and is unexplained. I aparently produce too much oestrogen (not sure if that is true)...
So, we decided to get serious about ttc again Oct 08, and were dtd when I had O signs (ie: EWCM). In Nov I started POAS since 1 week after my af would have been due if I was on 28 day cycle (ie: 35 days), no af.... kept testing until about 55 days when a very feint + come up. I knew in my heart that this little one wasn't going to stick, but still called OBS to make an appointment, scheduled for 20 Jan 09. Not long after BFP I started, not spotting but when I wiped or looked in my knickers (sorry if tmi) it was brown mucky stuff (like then end of af), i knew it was a m/c.... :( anyway cancelled OBS appointment and decided that it wasn't obviously meant to be and ttc next month. Anyway still 'spotting' on & off until my mum virtually begged me to got to the gp in case I needed a D&C. So she sends me off to get bloods done & ultrasound. Got bloods done on the Fri and AF shows up on the Sunday, so I don't bother to get us done. Dr calls with bloods results saying I have HCG levels of 3,000! wt? Go get us and it shows NOTHING.... I am confused. Sonographer suggests I go back to Dr & get HCG levels retested in about 1 week to make sure they are dropping. Also suggests may have been an ectopic since there is nothing showing in uterus. Am ok with this but then on the Wed night I end up in the emergency dept. due to severe cramping only to be sent home and told to take buscopan & panadol.... was annoyed and feeling a bit raw & emotional but cramping had started to subside and no bleeding. End up going to the Naturopath to get some 'potions' to clean me out and try to regulate my cycles.... but alas I am still 'spotting'. On Wed went and got bloods done again and now are waiting to see what they come back with....... I am so confused about what is going on.
Sorry for the rant just needed to get it off my chest.
I see that there have been a few BFP - congratulations to all.....
